Scars give character. Not everydog can say he got a scar from a bobcat. He'll be the coolest dog around the campfire, the tough dog...

key to enjoying cold weather is to get outside often - then when you come inside it feels hot

skiracer/snownymph...
here's a link to the trip report

I;m not likin how his eye is looking tonight. I'ts kind of closed and half open...I think I'll take him tomorrow for a follow up visit to "crazy Doc".

If he says he is ok to hike this weekend, then he'll get to go, but if not, then he stays home to rest.

back from the vet...
all is ok...nother shot in the butt, trimmed the scab away, put on antibiotic fairy dust and Khatru is all ok.

heading out tonight to go kitty hunting and beat up the cat that beat up my dog.

Crazy Doc says that Khatru will be totally fine, but that he was VERY lucky and that I need to be more aware of the implications of what happened. Doc really likes me and Khatru alot...

Doc IS crazy...spent a year in jail for puttin a "hit" out on his ex-wife. But he really is a GREAT vet, just a lousy human being.

no...
FBI nabbed him.

stupid...but we get along...go figure. I used to date his assistant, so, for that reason, he is good to Khatru and to me. I recieved the "you know, this could have been worse" lecture today.

From wht I understand, your diet is very important to the healing process. My doc told me to eat as many twigs as possible when i injured my knee last year.

Thanks for asking guys!

I don't think I posted it here, but I was walking right off the bat - 2 miles/day during week two. I thought I was being wussy but my doc almost choked when I told him. He said "please back off the activity!" Seems they neglected to tell me some pretty important stuff when I left the hospital - all I got were very detailed dos and don'ts regarding housework and who cares about that anyway. So I've been doing more laying around.

Anyway I'm taking a road trip this weekend and I'll do some short stuff then. I still have lifting restrictions so no backpacking. Back to work December 1. :(

I feel great and really need to get out. I've got a January BSP trip, so I better be ready for that!

No way! Pictures and a detailed report will be coming. I am on the phone as I type with the doc scheduling the surgery. Looks like it will be on December 4.

OK, serious question here.

After the surgery, my knee will no longer be "wounded." Both knees have problems, but only one is giving me trouble. Should I...

A)Keep my TT name the same (other knee is still wounded)

or

B)Change it to something and if so, what would I call myself?

Your help would be greatly appreciated
