DODDER UPDATE

“Well, everyone...I just thought I would let you know the update on dodder in case anyone was wondering.

After his latest hike to Fall Creek Falls, where he got lost by the way, I heard that was going to be his last hike of the year til spring b/c he works the holiday retail season..

I have been informed today by sources that wish to stay anonymous, that he will be going to the Smokies this weekend.

Also, I hear his wife is not a happy camper(no pun intended). I heard that she told him not to go...but he is going anyway. (bad move dude). I also heard from the same source that she told him that come spring he wouldn't be doing anymore dam backpacking.

Well Dodder, since this is your last trip....so long my friend...we'll miss you...but you can lust over all the trip reports that we post from here on out.

Seeing how you won't be needing your gear, we'll be glad to use it and give you a little cash for it..Father Goose said he would like your hammock.

Have fun doing the holiday retail season and gravelling to your wife for forgiveness.

Also, one other side note...since you won't be backpacking anymore...your membership to the He-Man Woman Haters Club is suspended. Sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news.

“I will be back on the trail, after this weekend in January or Febuary. She just said, "You will not go every weekend in the Spring." I didn't say a word. Knowing that I wont be off every weekend in the Spring. LOL Plus, I wouldn't miss hiking with all you guys and gals for anything in the world. Now is tries to cut me off....well, that is another thing.”

“Glad to hear that you got everything worked out. We sure would hate to be without your cowboy poems, raunchy trivia, and other intertainment. After all, knowbody else is "Mr. Wonderful!"”

“Me and my Girlfriend got it worked out like this. I Don't go on Back to back weekends and she has me on all holidays. Other than that I go out for 3 or 4 days (or more) at a time. Gotta learn to negociate dude.
BTW, I look foward to meeting your crazy ass on the trail sometime. Big Gulp & Father Goose are pretty cool so if your anything like them...............Holy F**k!”

“Can't wait to hike with you also...Sweetheart. Big Gulp and Father Goose are tame compared to me. Get us all together and ...look out. Heard all about the Sispey trip and the Michigan trip. Hope to hike with you soon. I'm in the retail business and it will probably be late January or Feb before I can go. But we will all go I look forward to it.”
