Birch and I have wanted to do a high ropes course near our home for years. We are hoping to get together enough TTer's, (there's a 15 person minimum), next spring to do it. We are thinking either the third or forth Saturday in May, 2003. We would find a campground or perhaps include a lodge stay at the Nature center for everyone to stay at. What's your interest level?

Here's a link for the course: high ropes course

I have requested information on lodging and how long the course takes to complete, etc. Also what would be available to occupy those waiting to do the course. I'll fill in more details as I find them out.

I know the cost is $20 per person, or if we stay on their grounds, $18. Their campground runs $5 per person....not sure about the lodges yet.

NO, There are harnesses and whatnot.

BTW, anyone from out of state, we'll do whatever we can to help if you want to make a trip to MI for this.

Tbull says she's in. For some reason she can't post from work anymore.

Does anyone have a preference on the weekend in May? I'd like to reserve one asap, they go really fast.

No preference for me
I will just put in for vacation if it falls on work days for me. So, I'm flexible.

Y'all will have a blast. It's harder than it looks though.
We take our older scouts on ropes courses all the time.

Great price too. We have to pay about $60 a head and that's on scout owned property with the troop providing our own trained instructors.

HPM, Birch and I did their low ropes course a few years back. It was chalenging but a complete blast.

I dunno...rope climbing on a budget...sounds a little scary!

It's not scarey, just well funded by the community. This nature center gets loads of moola from school field trips and week long camps, churches, scout organizations, conferences, etc. They've consistantly become bigger and better for years. Birch grew up in the town it's in and used to go there when he was a little kid. It is safe and the people who run it do know what they're doing.

Sass, I'm sorry, I wasn't really questioning it, just making a little joke. I'd love to come but it is too far away.

I'm in.

Not being able to get to TT from work is killing me. Seems they've added some kind of filter to our internet usage. :-(
