Does anybody have this tent? What do you think? Thanks.

$99 is a tempting price isn't it?

I don't know why I thought I needed another tent but I looked at that one too. I wasn't able to find any consumer reviews but backpacker mag gave it a pretty bad review. You know how rare those are. If you look at the photo on the killerdeals site, you can see what they mean about the fly being short at the head end.

I didn't think that review sounded that bad. The one thing the reviewer didn't really seem to like was the way the tent held up in "wind driven (rain) assaults." But what kind of superlight tent would hold up that well in those conditions? The reviewer also had trouble setting it up the first few times until she seemed to get the hang of it. I was wondering if the 3lb 5oz. weight included your trekking poles. ?

northernmountain says 3 lbs. 5 oz. poles not included.

There are quite a few superlight tents that would hold up to that but not for $99. Go for it - write us a review.
