We got spooked!
I came home from work Thursday night to find a bag full of candy, toys for Abby and misc. halloween goodies on our front porch. There was a note enclosed that said our home was spooked until we passed on goodies to two other neighbors or friends. I generally hate chain mail, etc. but this is fun! We also got a little ghost to post in a window so we won't get "spooked" again. Tonight we went to three dollar stores and loaded up on all sorts of treats to pass on. What a great way to enjoy the season with one's neighbors. If anyone wants to do this with their neighborhood, drop me an email and I'll send you a copy of the letter and ghost. Get it going in your town! =D

I remember a dentist who lived in our neighborhood growing up who would give out toothbrushes to kids for Halloween instead of candy. We all thought he was an idiot, and stopped going to his house. Looking back now though, that dude ruled.

Buddur you're supposed to pass out the candy...not eat them.

Sass, it was the neighbourhood grocer that started that "chain letter"?....so people had to buy candy and stuff to pass on to other people. :o) But, it is a nice gesture.

Artex, we had a dentist, too. He passed out toothbrushes and if we were really lucky... we'd get dental floss! Sometimes he'd pass out apples.

I always stopped at his house, anyway.
