Great pics!

Snow Nymph... is fast on the trail, fast on the road and faster at uploading pics now too!

Did you see some weirdo flashing his lights at you just before he turned right? You passed me in Red Rock Canyon and I was behind you until the turn off for the 58.

Great trip report and photos!
Simply awesome. One of the photos I really like is the group shot with everyone bundled up with hat and gloves, except SN! She's in a tee shirt! It must be all those bag nights. Amazing! Keep up the good work SN and SD. Also hello to Navi, Phil, Pepperdog! PD was that your dog?

WW, was that you? I get flashed all the time because of my headlights, I thought it was wierd coming from behind. I also wasn't sure if the guy behind was hitting bumps in the road. I was on cruise, til I saw the car on the side (thought it was CHP).

Sol, I was in a T-shirt cuz I was late! After all the pics, I realized how cold it was..... brrrrrrrr!

Does anyone know how I can get my log in password without starting a new thread to Matt?

That was fast Snowy, I haven't even unloaded the car yet! Nice pictures! I've got to finish the roll that's in my camera so I can get my photos posted.

After leaving the restaurant, I had to put more air in my air shocks. Kept calling my wife at the pay phones across Tioga Pass to let her know how things were. She had "orders" to bring new shocks in the morning if she didn't hear from me by a certain time. Didn't have any more problems and got home at 10:45.

Thanks for the great time everyone!

Hey Snowy - Did you get caught in 'the Great Troll Round-up'.
I guess with you and Dude posting from the same place, Matt accidentaly wiped you out. Better send him an e-mail

I guess Snow Dude was right about Snow Nymph not sleeping!! Great pics Snow Nymph.

It was a fun trip even though my fingers and toes were numb when it was 20 degrees. Lots of fun with great people and wonderful scenery.

Now I know that my Coleman Exponent Inyo 2 will hold up under light snow.

I wondered if anyone would notice Snow Nymph in short sleeves in that first picture of hers. When she showed up at the trail head she was so pumped she forgot to put on a jacket.

Naviguesser, Hikin' Mike, Wind Walker and I stayed at Mel's on Friday night before going to the trailhead. Thanks to Mel for putting us up!

I had pics of everyone. Now I only have pictures of the first part of the trail and from Hungry Packer Lake on, but I do have some great memories.

It was fun! When's the snowshoeing trip going to be?

I'm Back
Olive Oyl, Ticha, and I had a fabulous hike on our way back from Bishop. Trip report and photos to follow.

What a great group of people! I enjoyed each and every one of you. Sorry I didn't have a chance to talk with everyone more.

Shoosh - did you leave your boots at the trailhead? there was a pair when we headed out. I have them if you want to get in touch with me. If not, does anyone want a pair of women's size 8 boots???

Solitary - yes, Ticha is one of my "kids" - don't you remember her trying to nip your ankles after the Llama-rama?

Hodgeman, I hate to have to say it but you were right. We got snowed on. I actually enjoyed it except for when I was worrying about one stretch of the trail and keeping Ticha warm. Once the sun came out it was very beautiful.

Thanks to everyone for a great trip. Let's do it again soon!!

A short (kinda) report
Sabrina Basin (internet trip)
- Start: Sabrina Lake Trailhead (9,128')
- I posted that I would wait til 10am for stragglers.....guess who the straggler was
- 11 internet hikers showed up
- We camped at Dingleberry Lake (10,500') and hung out at camp the rest of the day. Temps got down in the 30s at night. No campfires.....cold!
- Woke up to snow Sunday morning...20 deg...everything was white!
- Everyone did their own dayhikes:
-- WingDing, Windwalker and Hikin Mike headed for Hungry Packer Lake
-- Snow Nymph, WLD, Pepperdog, Olive Oyl, Naviguesser and Phil headed out later
--- WLD, Pepperdog, Olive Oyl went to Midnight Lake
--- the Naviguesser and Phil went to Topsy Turvy Lake
--- Shoosh and Bruce headed out
--- Snow Nymph went after the Hungry Packer group
---- I got there, they were looking at a ridge, they thought I was going to Midnight, then over the ridge to HP Lk
---- From there we went to Moonlight Lake
---- WingDing saw a trail heading towards Echo Lake, I went with her
---- WindWalker and Hikin Mike turned back
---- WingDing and I made it to a ridge (11,700') next to Picture Peak, and could see the bowl where Echo Lake was, but not the lake
- Back 1:30am, camp was empty, we packed up, and left at 2:10pm. WingDing kept a good pace......I stopped for two pics, and I couldn't catch her. Out by 4pm
- About 1 mile from the trailhead, Sheebz and DaveODave were on the trail. They had talked to the rest of the group, which was just ahead of us.
- We had dinner in Bishop after.
