Joe Simpson is a Grade A Stud!!! After that epic, he hardly missed a beat. Most others would be history after what happened.

I have finished the book
"Touching the Zone" by Joe Simpson
All I can say is "Incredible"
This is a book with a rivetting story that you just do not read! You devour/feed upon it.

I lost the email address of the person who recommended it to me. So thanks.......

I just picked up a copy of that book. Olive Oyl read it a few years ago and I have meant to read it ever since. I am kinda waiting for a nice rainy day because it seems like a good book for that.

Hi wld. How's it going?

I am well Pepperdog, thanks, how are you doing? Let me know what you think of the book when you finish it.

Geezr, The book is about Joe Simpson and his climbing partner Simon Yates as they climb and descend a 21,000' peak in the Andes. And thier mutual and individual struggles to survive.
I have read every Mountaineering book I can get my hands on for years. But the style and personal accounts of this story is very intense and covers a mutitude of areas such as physical, mental, emotional challenges, by both of the climbers. I do not want to give to much away. It cost me around $10. locally and new. Reading books like "Into Thin Air" is relaxing compared to "Touching the Zone" at least for me.

Here is a link for the book.

I found the lost memory card in my truck today when I was looking for my missing calculator. I'm hoping that It's not damaged and I'm able to upload the pics to webshots. I had pics of everyone on the card. :)

Kathy this is the link in your first post ...

Notice the part of the address that says "editPhotos" you must have been in the album editing. when you copied the address to post it.

Not to worry though, I do the same thing sometimes, and since your one of my favorite users...I knew where your pics were ;)

I really like the pics of Hungry Packer Lake, that is a beautiful place!!!
