For the majority of you out there...Im saddened by your lack of concern, interest and callousness regarding this issue.

I come to this thread late and got my blood boiling on only the first 45 posts...I can't read the rest...its too hateful...what an ignorant thread...and for those that continue on it...ignorance is your middle name...I'm done...and won't be back on this thread...I have my convictions...and believe in them...Im a strong and loyal friend and ally...and also a feirce enemy...you choose which I am to you...to those I've met, you can count on my friendship...to those that I have not met yet...friendship will be shown to you...to the ingnorant, I don't want to meet you...

Just my opinion, but the word no longer refers (in poor taste, I might add) to one's color but more towards the way that a person acts.


I once heard a speaker on racism. She pointed out that for anyone who thought that they were not in the slightest bit racist to think about something. How they would feel out of their element all alone. A white man in an inner city neighborhood, a black person in an all white town, etc. She said that if fear comes to mind then you are not as pure as you think. Fear is what drives racism and a persons fear is a very powerful motivator. I would have to agree”

This is exactly how I feel and that is my reasoning for stating that so few TTer's feel strongly about the subject. This thread has been near the top for the last day+ but a very few are denouncing racism. All they have to do is write " racists suck" but they would rather write something witty about beef jerky or somebody named TY. That's speaks volumes to me.”

“Is it always gonna be the white guys fault. Everybody in America thought for sure the D.C. sniper was going to be some disgruntled Randy Weaver-esque nut case. Was he ????? Did any whites protest that fact that they as a group were being labeled in such a manner. How would that have come across had some decide to protest. Other groups do it when wrongly accused why shouldn't we?

It was not to long that my sleepy city made international news over race riots. It all stemmed from the shooting of a fleeing unarmed black man in the back alleys of our ghetto. The officer gets aquitted basically and then 'some' blacks in turn burn their neighborhood and beat innocent citizens to with inches of their lives in search of justice. We had a 2 or 3 day lock down. Now our city council's answer to the inner city race issue, from what I have heard, is to move, actually force, them into the burbs. Would any reasonable person, black or white, what those same possible individuals that torch the city and beat innocent people in their 'burb neighborhood.

I have just about given up all hope for people (any color) that can't fend for themselves and blame others for their plight. I left an occupation sometime ago because I 'felt' I was not black enough. The shoe ,in my book, was actually on the other foot(black) and I got a taste of what I believe many blacks and females for that matter say has been happening to them for years.

My whiteness may open some doors but what good will it serve me when comfronted by someone who see's me as just another white male. Looking to take over the world and oppress races, religons and females alike.

You know (opinion) it is just matter of time before the blacks get surpassed by the latinos when it comes to standards of living and success of community as a whole. Talk about ethnics with a work ethic. Will that be my fault too?”

bacpac only pointed out that there are differences in the races, not that there was an implied superiority there-in.

Then again being Celtic I might agree that blacks(yes AfAm is out of style and black is back in[I guess that's for another thread]) have a distinct advantage in our area's humid summers. Ask my black neighbors who has an advantage in our wet/cold winters.

I know I keep snickering about this subject but it kills me when 'faithful liberals' refuse to admit that there is ANY differences between the races.

Not that I'm defending the racists when they assume that race defines personality. Then again when it's called racist for pointing out that blacks are better at B-ball because their limbs are longer, in proportion to their torsos...
