This is great Mrs Opie, but be forewarned, the children aren’t the problem, it’s the parents!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, that growing up crap is highly overrated.

I recieved an interesting email from my boss.
He asked if any of the rescue drivers wanted to be certified in euthanization.
well at first i was not sure. even treebeard asked me if this was something i could do.

but the way it will work will be different for me then vet techs at the shelter.

if i am able to put a very bad injurded animal down ASAP instead of them riding in the back of my truck for how ever long it takes me to get him to the nearest shelter, then i think it would be worth learning that.

case in point: i was flagged down and told a dog was hit by a car. i raced to the scene and he was pretty bad. now i did the eye test and he kept closing his eye he was still alive. without going into details, i would have put him down right there and then.

so iguess i am going back to school for a little while

yes they are, thats why nearly every college has an off-campus bookstore that sell used books for a fraction of what they cost new. Of course, when I was in college we didn't have the internet shooping opportunities that exist now.

Thank goodness for the internet. I'd be completely broke if I couldn't buy my books online.

same here twinkle toes. my best score this term was a book with the plastic still on it for $7.50. The college bookstore was selling it used for $60.

i've got 2 semesters left until i graduate. I will be sure to get a job somewhere that will pay for a lot of grad school. i don't want to be a year's salary in debt for education.

I did it! All done. Officially cert-i-fied in four (count em) techniques of therapeutic massage. =D 38 credit hours and 850 hours of school. I'm done with school (until the next stuff I want to learn or I finally go after a degree....I'm awfully close).

Nimblefoot, Birch gets as many freebies as he wants. There's no way I could have done this without his support and help. He's the best sugar daddy ever.

the prob is, it is in Queens and i need to be there at 8:00 am

Nope, but I had a 76 mile round trip from Detroit to A2, during rush hour and worse yet, during U of M football games! Turn up the radio, tune out the j@ck@ss drivers and enjoy the time to yourself. It'll help keep your blood pressure down.

Thanks everyone for the pats on the back.
It's very cool that TTers can be happy for each other, encourage each other and help each other out from every corner of the country.

Please note that I have no idea how long that would take or if Queen's Plaza is anywhere near your class.
