Word of advice...never go over a cliff down a rope you don't know where it ends.....

Great gods Spirit, I just got my cast off today. I still have at least a month of rehab. Why'd ya go and do that for?

Report to the injured reserve list. If you have questions for me, send me an email. You have one thing going for you, although it may not seem it at the moment. You should be up and about by spring. Heal quickly and well. It will end.

Well, if your broken foot is like mine, you'll be able to predict storms in your foot for years to come.

Are you in a cast?

They had me in one of those, then when the swelling went down came the real cast. Will they keep you in a removable or change over at a later time?

The removable one was great because I could still shower with it. I still have it in fact, and if this ankle gives me too much pain I just might strap the damn thing on for a day or two.

I was in a "surgical shoe", is that the same thing? I was told by the doc (in Michigan's upper penninsula, not the first place I'd go for the best health care) that I should continue walking on that foot. I visited a dr. downstate, who about screamed bloody murder that I wasn't in a cast. I think that had a lot to do with the fact that I could predict damp weather. LOL!

Sorry about the foot!

Yep, I should subcontract this ankle to the National Weather Service! I guess I won't need to bring the weather radio anymore... that's a weight saving of at least 4 oz.

You prolly need a sergry leg. I got a sergry leg at my dokter. He sayed "do not walk aroun jus lay down ever time". He sayed I culd go out side and pee tho.

Get a sergry leg and lay down til yer leg is ok and you will be fine.

DO NOT HOP WITH A SERGRY LEG THO AND RESSEL!

Sorry to hear about your foot. But you were supposed to rapel down the cliff using the rope...not slide down the rope like a fireman!!! Hope your foot gets well soon.

Oooops
You didn't run off the end of the rope did you....ouch!

One consolation, my doctor was always telling me "you should have broken it"...soft tissue injury's usually take longer to heal.

Hope your up and about soon.

My last appointment with the orthopedist is supposed to be the 3rd, God willing and the creek don't rise. It's been (and continues to be) a grind. But it is coming along and I am walking on two feet again, so it will all come together eventually. Hang in there Spirit. Let your sense of humor carry you through. It is, in the end, just a life experience - one we might not have chosen for sure, but still an experience. I kept focusing on the fact that whatever went wrong, I got off better than it might have turned out. Hopefully we'll both get back on the trail by spring.

Spirit Coyote...
I'm terribly sorry for you. It seems that Voldemort, the Dark Lord has striken you down. He is, undoubtedly, pleased with your accident. We will surely be weakend by your absence.

But, in the meanwhile, you should take this opportunity to read your "Hogwarts, a History of Magic". In it you will find some healing spells that will aid in your recovery and at the least keep you amused during your downtime.

If you have any questions on particular spells, give me or Raven a shout...Raven is particularly good at cheering up spells...

In the meanwhile, I shall send a protectorate spell your way...

Get well soon...
