Do you think the arm straps can be modified to come down to the front of the hip belt? I am looking for a back pack that can be altered in this way. Also do the arm straps touch the tops of your shoulders?

Hey - on the other extreme, I've got a 600 down LaFuma 45 degree bag.

600 fill down
45 degree rating
1 lb 5 oz weight
packs crazy small - about the size of a 1 litre nalgene (no i've not tried to stuff it into one)
comes with a stuff sack, but no storage sack.
there's also a small zipper pocket in the chest area - good for contact lens case or something like that.

here's a link with a description and pic:
http://www.pronto.com/Lafuma-Warm-n-Light-600g-p_1105497674-PP

I love the bag, but its just too little bag for my locale - it'd be great in the Smokey's - in the Rocky's I always wind up chilly. I've used it prolly 6 or 7 times - no tears, no issues - just not enough bag for me. I need a 25 or 30 degree bag i think.

You can have it for 50, plus a tad for shipping.

Spam, does that mean ya want it?

It's a nice bag, just tooooo chilly for Rocky Mtn nights. I wind up with it cinched down around my face like its friggin January, with cold feet even in late July and August. It gets CHILLY at 10,000 feet!

As I have forsaken my ground sleeping days due to my mobility issues I am divesting myself of some goodies. I have a

Eureka Juno dome (3 person) good for car camping. $45 includes shipping USCON.

Kelty Summer Breeze (2 person) not the lightest 2 person tent but I've used it for bicycle camping. Two doors full dome rain fly. $35 includes shipping USCON

Paypal preferred. But checks will be accepted and items shipped when cleared.

I will sell my Eureka Cobra two person tent for 35 bucks or trade it for a full size Zrest sleep pad! I also have a Walrus Zoid 1 Bivy that in very nice condition for 45 bucks!

Kelty no longer makes the Summer Breeze tent but the basic tent looks a lot like the Gunnison. This tent has a lot of mesh the fly is full coverage to the ground and it has two doors and two vestibules. Aluminum poles. I like this tent but I won't be using it any more.

I bought the Juno for car camping with my wife. It is big enuf to basically stand up in. Single door, full dome fly coverage to the floor. I wouldn't take it backpacking, but for car camping it was great. One of the Stormshield line of Eureka tents.

Last call for interest in these tents. I ain't wasting bandwidth trying to unload something nobody cares about. If I get frisky I may set them up, get pics and try ebay. But otherwise they may just go to a scout troop if they want them.

If some non-profit out there wants to pay the shipping let me know. The tents were in decent shape last time I had them set up. They've been stored dark cool and dry.

ramblinrev sorry to hear you can`t tent anymore...my sincere condolences.

I am curious about the Juno 3 man tent, how would it be for canoe tripping ? And what would you charge for shipping to Canada ?

Thanks Shaun

The Juno 3 is spoken for... I would not recommend it for canoe camping mostly because it is a big monster and I think would limit your choice of sites. I think the footprint on it is something like 7'X 9'. It's been a while since I've measured it. But either way... it is sold.

Actually my tenting has been replaced with a hammock. Or should I say several hammocks now. I have a Hennessy and two that I made myself. I am actually doing more camping than I did when I was stuck on the ground.

Thanks ramblinrev .....I`m looking for something with a little more head room then the traditional two man tent.I`m only in my mid 40`s but both my wife and I get a little tired of the lack of head room . My wife isn`t much of a tripper or bper. She likes to hike out canoe out and stay for a few days in one spot,so a two man gets kinda cramped if your living in one spot for 3 days or more !

Have you considered the possibility of a tarp for campsite coverage? I know the feeling about headroom. That's one of the reasons I bought the Juno for my wife. But at this point I think _I_ would rather have a good sized tarp that I could lounge under for shade and rain cover. Even getting changed under a tarp is better in miy mind that trying to mess around in a tent. There are some really nice tarp pitches that are quick and easy and can also be closed up if the weather gets ugly. You can hang a tarp as high as you can climb so headroom is not really a problem. The Baker's Hut pitch is a really nice pitch for a 10 x 12 tarp. Shade space and depending on how you ptich it all the privacy you could want.

ramblinrev; I do use tarps but generally just over my kitchen area. Most of my tarps are basic 9x10 or 10x12 sheets. Never thought of getting changed under it ......learn something new every day !

I do have one tarp pitch,it`s supposed to convert into a picnic shelter or floorless bivy.it`s generally a big pain and hasn`t seen a campsite for about 3 years.

I will take a look at a bakers pitch though.......thanks
