That stuff sack is about the same size as my thermarest sack..I think the bag will be easier to get in it than the thermarest is;)

I always wanted to see if it'd fit inside a nalgene - i bet it would, but i figured it would ruin it forcing it thru the small opening.

Some of these posts are just begging to be put in the "Out of Context" quotes thread, lol.

Is that thread still around or did it get banned?

I recently sold my Shasta pack and my old Optimus 99 stove on Ebay. I was really shocked that my stove sold for 117.50 and I only paid about 35-40 for it when I bought it 9 or 10 years ago.

The Optimus 99 is worth far more than that! Ya should have held onto it. You can take my 99 when you pry it from my cold dead fingers.

Well I never use it, I use alcohol now and it was just setting up collecting dust. I have loaned it out a few times, but for the most part it was taking up space. I was hoping to just get my money back out of it, so I am happy. It is a great stove.

Oh, I still have an 8-R and a 111-C.

That was my mainstay winter/karkamp stove until I bought the Svea 123. Hell, even when it was summer I'd take the 123 over the Pocket Rocket. I'm going to all alcohol when it's warm now though to save weight.

I'm looking for a tarp, and possibly a larger pack. I'm thinking internal frame, and about 5000ci+. I need something I can fit 3 gal water, and a weeks worth of food in a bear can, plus gear. Top loader with few pocket prefered. Gregory would be nice, but others will be considered. Size Long for both.
