Be vigiliant...
After speaking with many other and careful analysis of the climate of the attitudes within the world, I have determined that there are tremendous Dark Forces at work now. I believe that the Dark Lord walks among us and is wreaking havoc in his wake.

We, the lovers of all things natural, must ever be on our guard for attacks upon our persons. the enemy will try to attack each of us in time, attempting to destroy our powers and strengths.

I am writing this as a warning to each of you, so that you will bone up on your magical spells and incntations. It is up to each of to remain as vigiliant as we can.

We were invaded, recently by a doppleganger of Professor Dumbledor, but through the efforts of Raven and myself, we were able to expose and eventually overcome him. The identity of this imposter has not yet become available to us, but the Ministry of Magical Imposters is heading up an ivestigation.

With recent events involving Mr Harry Potter, we should all be aware that the storm is coming, and be prepared. Watch yourselves and ally yourselves with good people...stray not into the woods alone, it is not safe to be alone, if you must do so, take a trusty trail companion with you, they will alert you to danger and hazards.

And last of all, if you need aid, contact me immediately, I am working long distance protection charms, carried on the wings of music and the wind.

May the force be with each of us, stay strong.

I'd like to present facts.
I am not some ranting lunatic...thats Marvin's job...actually, Marvin is powerful wizard in his own right, but he is misguided in his reportings.

here are the facts...Prowlers "apparent" innocent breakdown of his vehicle on his way to meet me at the Buffalo Canoe trip, back in May.

This was to be the first meeting of our. Prowler is a powerful wizard from Ohio, he was accompanied by Josh, another wizard from Ohio. Prowlers truck broke down during the journey. Random occurrce...I think not...

Prowlers illness in Montana that he suffered, served to discredit his wizarding skills among many fellow TT'ers....another random occurrance???

Geobeets "accident" on the trail in the Dolly Sods. Another random occurrance.

Prowler (yet again), is now laid up, indefinetly for severe back troubles...

Josh's "accident" twisting his ankle...

Stratusloop, injuring his foot while hiking in the magical woods of Shennandoah NP...

Cpl Nasty, fell on sidewalk...

Buddha Bear, fell off bike...

Snow Nymph, fell on glacier...

Maple Leaf, cut finger with box cutter; splinter from dried banana"...

PepperDog slipped on the ramp leading out of the truck and tore a groin muscle...

biz pulled a muscle in her leg on Mt. Hood...

Katibug and I both were recpients of the Poison Ivy Curse this year...mine most recently...

Even Sarabelle has not fallen immune to the threats of evil magic...Almost lost her leg to sergury...

StanLee received back and knee injuries...

Dunk tore ligaments in his ankle during a hike in the trinity alps...

I was again accosted by invisible forces and was tossed off the Mina Sauk Falls and badly damaged my shoulder ligaments, this occured back in April...

Stove Stomper has dibilitating stones in his kidneys...

I needn't go on must I?

We have been accosted all year by tradegies and annoyances...If this does not prove that the Dark Lord and his evil legion are fighting against us, I don't know how to convince you.

The one thing that we have going for us is our fortitude. In the face of trials and tribulations that are thrown our way, we have, each, overcome...thwarting the Dark Lord adgenda at every turn...Keep it up, we can win, but it won't be easy...

We are Wizards of strength and power...well, most of us...

May the force be strong with each of you.

That old black magic has me in its spell,
Tthat old black magic that you weave so well.
Those icy fingers up and down my spine
That same old witchcraft when your eyes meet mine...

The same old tingle that I feel inside,
And then that elevator starts its ride
And down and down I go, round and round I go,
Like a leaf that's caught in the tide.

I should stay away, but what can I do?
I hear your name and I'm aflame
Aflame with such a burning desire
That only your kiss can put out the fire.

For you're the lover I have waited for,
The mate that fate had me created for.
And every time your lips meet mine, darling,
down and down I go, round and round I go
In a spin, loving the spin I'm in,
under that old black magic called love.

Oh, sounds like there's gonna be a battle all right. Stikmon, better stop by the florist's on the way to work tomorrow. Oh, better not, she'll know where you got the idea. Let's see how to help you. What would ol Red Green advise. Can ya get down on yer knees son? Can ya act real contrite?

And they ask me why I'm divorced. Innocent little things like mentioning legs and spider bites. They'll get you every time!

I think Chapter Two needs a quick rewrite Stik, I really do. Let's see, forces of evil; a big black hairy ugly spider; fair damsel; probably sitting on something, a chair, a setee, tuffet, whatever; a bowl of curds and whey, ... you begin to get the picture?

I'm a-tryin to help ya boy! This is serious stuff. Start writing while you still have your arms intact. He11 hath no fury like a woman whose spider bite has been marginalized or left out of the forces of evil story. Just remember this, the woman can write obituaries! You don't want to mess with her.

I bow to the wisdom of Sir Stikmon. He has accurately made accounts for what is the truth. I too, from my nightly observations, have noticed the numerous injuries amoung those that hike in the woods. I have been cautiously working on placing certain magikal spells and incantations to aid in this plight against the depravity that has come about!

I'd like to submit a few other observations that have struck me as "odd": missing people, missing threads, invisible threads, but more importantly, missing TROLLS. Is this a work of the Dark Lord? I say that it is!

And what of this imposter? Who is he really? Do we know of his origins? What were his intentions? To distract us from what is actually happening all around us! Will we sit around and do nothing?!? NAY! Let those that are able bodied to do the bidding of what is right and true! Let those that are less than able bodied, but of pure heart and mind, to invoke the power of their words, and strike out against all evil!

I call for a rally! Let us all rally against this wickedness and corruption! All those in favor of putting up a fight, ....

....say 'Aye!

Seems that when my back is turned...
the foolish come out to play. Crazy Mike, you can play all you want, but the day will come when you will be asked to choose your side, I for one would stand with you, if that is your desire.

Raven speaks true! Listen to her. As for missing listing Lizs spider bite, I have already acknowledged it and have volunteered my services to aid in its cure. Thanks Geobeet, for your advice, but not necessary. I already have plans for the fair and lovely Lizs.

UltraPecker...you show yourself to be one of the minions of the Dark Lord. I do not hear you and say to you that you shall meet your end, and it will be ugly.

Buddur, I would have thought better of you, but for some, the uptake of the truth is slow.

Catshiker...not knowing anything of you, I shall hold my tounge and comments till a future time.

Bitpusher...Joke not, for you and yours are in danger also, be vigiliant...the Dark Lord is trying to divide us and make us weaker...stand with us.

Please offer your advice/comments about the "missing" items I listed... do you think they are related?
raven

11/03/02

as for missing trolls...
our very own Matt master of the Web, has been weaving his own incantations to prevent their continued maurawding diatribes.

As for missing people...we shall see, an investigation, headed up by young Percy Weasly, will begin shortly. Percy showed great qualities during the unhappy "Crouch" affair.

As for the missing threads...well...obviously the work of Voldemort to continue to create chaos among us.

Raven, continue the good work that you have been doing. Thanks...

My pleasure, Stikmon... but other than for the students at Hogwart's.... do you think there are a few others we could recruit to aid in our endeavors? I fear that Voldemort is gaining more support, and will perhaps be in the position to thwart all our efforts!

raven, your astute observation has
caused me some concern. If only the others would aid in the efforts, we would be assured a victory. The chronicles of Harry Potter are well known, you'd think that would enliven everyone, but one never knows.

11/04/02

There there, Severus. Just because one is paranoid doesn't mean that no one is out to get him. Alas, it is probably a good thing to be paranoid in these dark times. Especially for those living in the land of states that are united - there is an election tomorrow, and we will see if any of our kind are elected to high (or low) offices. Until then, I sign off, as I have more important things to do (e.g., stop practitioners of the Dark Arts, etc.).

if its Tolkien you want to go to...
I can do that too...which age shall we do...
...Is is Beren and Luthien you'd like to discuss....

Or how Illuvitar created Ea! and the Ainiur...how Tulkas wrestled Melkor and chained him and bound him...Or would you prefer to discuss the making of the Silmiril's and thereby doomed the Elves...or maybe the crossing of the Grinding Ice by the Elves leaving the Undying lands...

Or we can switch gears entirely and sail with Ged, the Archmage of Earthsea...

Whichever...I'm equally versed on all things magical...

Potter is fun because its based in our own reality timeline...The others are from deep in the history of men...

Radagast...you take the name of a minor wizard...yes...one who is friends with the beasts of the world, but how much do you know of the Istari.

CMB...to date you've made no references to any of the lore that has been laid down by the masters...

geo...judge not, till you've seen with your own eyes...I was skeptical at first too, but I read and viewed...I am impressed with the series.

Raven...thanks for playin...guess the others are too old to still have fun.

actually...
the story of Beren and Luthien and the Lay of Luthien that interests me the most...but also the tale of the fall of Gondolin and the numerous betrayals the happened there Or maybe its how, in Melkors jealosy, he allied himself with Ungoliant to destroy the 2 trees and then how Ungoliant threw off Melkors control...or perhaps the rise and fall of the men of Numenor...I don't know where to begin...I seem to know most everything...hmmmmmmmmmm....Well fellow lovers of MiddleEarth...any comments??? I'm up for any discussions that you might want to play at...After all...my 25year love of crafting hiking sticks stems from a 26 year love affair with all things Tolkien...Lets talk, shall we?

well the way I look at it is this...
The world of Tolkien is a world long ago...first second and third ages were past long ago...then came other ages that have been written by other authors in thier own way...such as Ursula LeGuin, and her EarthSea Trilogy...equally as entertaining as Tolkien, maybe not as detailed, but great reading...and now there is Potter...Lets call this the 6th age of men...magic and wizards still exist...but in modern times...I think that if JRRT were alive, he'd embrace the world of Harry Potter with open enthusiasm, as it is a natural timeline extension that he himself created.
