Chili Stik in Cecil Cove?

“i'm goin this coming weekend japhy. at this point, it looks like we're gonna be able to get the permit for fitton cave. it's supposed to warm up some by then too. this weekend would have SUUUUUUUCKED! it was rainy n cold the whole time.”

“I was down there Friday and Friday nite Strat, which did not suck. Hazy but no rain during day and then clear and freakin cold Friday nite. Hiked about 5 miles Friday taking the loop clockwise. Had a couple stogies and some Beam Fri. nite which made it a little warmer and which definitely did not suck. Rain started Sat. am. On my way out to meet some friends at horse camp saw some dudes that I thought may have been you guys heading in to the caves. Forgot to ask their names. Anyway, there is a good camp site just past the trail intersection of the bench trail and the cove trail about 2.2 miles counterclockwise into the loop. If you go off the loop to the right like you are going to the falls, it is about 200 yds down the trail, right by the creek. There is a fire ring set up and plenty of wood. Probably not telling you anything new though. Hope you guys have a good one. I'd like to go back next w/e but when you're married you have to spend a few brownie points for a weekend away and by god those have now been spent. Its backrub time! You may want to check out the Jones Cemetery. Pretty sad seeing all the kids born and died on the same day. Leaves were pretty good Friday but rains after that knocked em down pretty good. I did see a real Arkansas razorback which was bizarre.”

was there any water on the falls?”

“It rained all day Sat & Sat night. There is still no water. I went to Hawksbill Crag yesterday & the falls there was only a trickle. Buffalo River at Hwy. 21 was bone dry.”

“Dewd! No way! Why eat hog when I had chili mac! I don't know about falls. Was planning on going up there Saturday but when rain started I bagged it and went to horse camp to get dry.”
