dawn, it's possible, i can get several guides from the publisher and sell them myself. it'll take longer to get it.

artex, i'll let you know where i'll be at. it'll be me, myself and i sitting at some table looking silly, should be interesting.

I think all of the Northeatern people should get together and go on a road trip to the book signing!that would be fun having a bunch of TT'ers showing up to help support a fellow backpacker!!
let us know more info when it becomes aval. and we can make this happen for you!!

it should be in the papers!

Just what you need at a signing: a bunch of hikers in their muddy boots and stinky polypro!

That should generate a certain... atmosphere?

Congratulations on the book!

Congrats jmitch. Let us know about the signings. It will likely be your last signing if we show up en masse, but it will be memorable. We could come with our packs and gear, start setting up tents in the aisles, munching jerky, looking for a place to build a fire saying, "All these books; this will be too easy!"

Maple looks fetching in her red hair, Paddington hat, and knee brace. Just remember to bring along a wild hog to keep Artex occupied. He gets bored easily. Cpl. Nasty will be fine if there's a counter he can attack with his chin. For me wet rocks will do fine, thanks. For LyndyS, Starbucks and cinnamon toast.

thanks for the support, i'll keep you updated on location and time of any signings.

pennsy, it should be available by late january, if not earlier. you're one of the first to buy one. thanks.

i'm a little neurotic about accuracy, i'm scared about a misprint or oversight that may send hikers to their deaths. but then again, i have a good team of editors and i looked over the manuscript so many times i think it's as accurate as it's going to get.

be prepared for some incredibly beautiful places, and lots of bushwhacks.

Geobeet, yech! Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla, not Starbucks! Vermont Green Mountain coffee would be cool too (why do they call it Green Mtn coffee? They don't think that we actually believe that the coffee is grown in the Vermont mountains, do they?)

Unless you advise us to jump off a 1,500 foot cliff, I think it safe to say that if anybody dies with your book in their hands it will be on them, not you. I've probably tried more ways to kill myself than you will ever dream up, and it just won't work. Accuracy is a relative term. A year after the book is out, something will change. It's nature's way of making trail guide authors look dumb.

I am looking forward to new vistas in the coming year.

Yeah Lyndy, around these parts it's Bucks County Coffee. You might look hard and long for the freshest coffee beans growing in Bucks County and come home disappointed. I buy their French vanilla. When did the French corner vanilla?
Geobeet

yes, there are plenty of vistas. even more waterfalls. i went out of my way to find truly scenic places.

You mean I am not the first?? That's it... I'm cancelling my order! ;o)

I think the difference between Geo's 1500' cliffs and the pesky 100' ones is
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
versus
aaaahhhhhh!!!

Both will leave marks however.

Thats great!!!
Is it 'wordy'?,,, stuffed with creativity and have glossy photo's or does it 'cut to the chase' more meat and bones type of material and have B/k pics?

Is it heavy or stowable? How's the paper quality? Can it pass the finger test?

Since we've discovered, (with Buddur's help), that Pennsylvania is just an Ohio away from Michigan, I do believe that a copy might find it's way into our library also. It's a beautiful state and I want to see more of it!

Jmitch, I admire you for the time, effort and sweat you most likely put into this book. I think it's truely great that it's published. It must bring you much happiness!

lyndyS- buy them both times! you can wait.

the book is about 170 pages, convenient size for hiking, very descriptive, not glossy (except for cover)

no rosey, this is my first book

I've recently discovered buying and selling my textbooks on Amazon. Yeah, late to the game! It's so cool. Saving money and making money. Breaking even?

Anyway, thought you might like to know.
