Free Soup
According to the Urban Legends site, this is for real - although Campbells won't release much information when questioned.

Looks like Campbell's is doing it again this year.
-----------------------------------------------------
Campbell's actually donates 1 can of soup per day per person that click on their favorite team's helmet.

It's back again. Packer fans ruled last year, having twice as many cans as the 2nd place team. Pass this on. Campbell's is donating a can of soup (up to 5 million) to area food banks just by clicking on a helmet at their website. It's quick, easy and can be done once a day.

JUST CLICK ON THE WEBSITE BELOW:

Heh heh! I just asked my husband which helmet was for the NY Giants and he said "WTF???"

I'm going to tell his mommy, he should watch his language! He wants to know how I could know him for 18 years and not know what a NY Giants helmet looks like.

this site and Hunger.com are totally stupid...why doesn't the organization just donate the food anyway..why do we have to click it..it says up to like 500,000 cans..why not just donate 500,000 cans...hunger.com is just as retarded..i had a philosophy teacher that was so passionate about that site...i poked a major hole in his balloon when i asked this same question of him in front of class. Dontate the food, feel good about it, maybe even tell us you did it, and ask us to do the same...don't ask us to click a website link and sit on our ass and think we're doing good...shesh

Yep. It's a marketing ploy to increase traffic on their websites. Campbell's wants to sell more soup. What does Hunger.com want? More contributions?

Tilt/Opie - I think you guys are right, but I think it also gives people a chance to feel good about themselves, make them feel like they've done something, like add to the hit count on the site so Campbell's can justify there advertising costs!

If you want to feel good about yourself, go to the grocery store, buy a bunch of non-perishable food, and take it to your local food bank. Or go through your closet, take out all the clothes that don't fit anymore or you don't wear anymore, and take them to your local homeless shelter or Goodwill store. Doesn't take a lot of time, and you will have actually done something good.

What bitpusher said, and click on a helmet too.

Or go to a home for the elderly and read the paper to them one morning. You will be amazed how appreciative they are.
