Those little tails hanging out from a cake would really freak me out.

Mmmm, that cake sounds good!

According to my grandmother, you only have to wait 'til it's noon somewhere, so you're totally safe.

It's gonna be awesome lyra. It's a sponge cake (are you sponge worthy?) a layer of raspberry jam, then mango mousse on top of that with whipped cream and shaved almonds on top.

the hardest part is shaving the almonds. that tiny little razor kept slipping out of my hands.

You should have had the mouse do it before you threw it in with the mangos.

Yum-O! Sounds fantabulous. I don't know about the mango sorbet with it though, ususally I'm not into "matching" things. But I'd eat it the heck out of it!! LOL.

Oohhhh "mouse," now I get it...duh! I thought you guys were all going crazy together.

I've never made any sorbet or ice cream myself before, that's pretty impressive!

It's easy, lyra.
Any discount store will sell you a ice cream freezer.

The sorbet is what makes it lyra. Sorbet really cleans the taste buds and mangos have a great finishing taste anyhow. Eat some of the mousse cake, take a small bite of the sorbet, go back to the mousse and it's just like the first bite.

It's a culinary go-gasm.

I was more hoping for a chocolate cake with some mouse tails sticking out. I saw one with heads but it was some #&%!$ty sketch thing.

A real party in your mouth, huh? That's a good explanation. Usually when I think of eating two things with the exact same flavor together, I think of it sort of like wearing the exact same color shirt & pants together. And we all know what a faux pas that is! ;-) But I have been known to be wrong. Several years ago.

At $5 a 12 pack I can simply claim that when the cheapness goes in, the cheapness comes out. LOL!
