I had 2 Woodchuck Pear ciders last night. They were tasty. Currahee and Spewgirl/ Kabinkamper turned me on to those. TOday while repairing the pond I need to finish half a bottle of Black Cat riesling. Darn.

My buddy came over last night with his wife and we had a bottle of Chose Cuervo to make the ladies margaritas. They didn't like them so we guys took that as our cue that the whole bottle was ours and proceeded to kill the bottle plus a six pack of Mexican beer (green bottle and it had X's on it?). We sat around playing cribbage and got very disabled.

That coffee mug reminds me of when 60 Minutes did a story about Ray Charles. He was drinking black coffee from a mug.... with a coupla shots of Gin in it.

somewhat related, can labels be removed from wine bottles in one piece to save. Cleaning out my basement figured it was time to get rid of my 40 bottles, but they are all from diff. wineries, want to save lables if possible.

There's some label removing stuff that gets them off of the bottles intact. I can't remember where I saw it.

Maybe you could try steaming them off.

MY mom comes up for her first visit to the new house next tuesday. I don't know how long she's staying or what she wants to do yet. I figure I'll be reporting to this thread after she leaves. ;P

Are you sure coffee and gin don't go together? regardless of any answers, I will try that in a few hours.

There's a trick that used to work... fill the bottle with hot water then cold water, and condensation works its magic. Exactly How hot and How cold is the next question.

Then again, I think there was anoother rumor that many winemakers changed the label glue so that method wasn't as foolproof as it had been. I think it's worth a shot tho'..... [no pun!]

That was a lotta help, wadn't it!

LOL! Yes. LMG turned down Laphroaig Quarter Cask. I think GreenMonkee "had" to consume her drink. Not that I really remember much from that night.

I'll admit it, coffee & Gin is not something I can recommend. But I can not find it in my heart to waist liquor or coffee.
