Tagg Run to Boiling Springs PA
Well, I just came back from a GREAT trip. I went from Tagg Run to boiling springs along the AT in Pennsylvania. I got to the Tagg Run shelter as it was getting dark to find that the spring was dried up, but luckily I had enought water and Tagg Run was flowing nicely so water was not going to be a problem. Tired the Backpacker Pantry for the first time... Yummy for the Tummy! I got to about 25 degrees that night and the only part of me that got cold was my nose! I woke up throughout the night to an owl on the hunt and the shrills of it's next meal. Then next morning I was up and out of there and hiking on the trail... It was fantastic! There were some hunters ( I saw 3 three ) and about 4 section hikers. The area called "Rocky Ridges" had me cussing though... The trail weaved between the bolders and through tiny cracks, I tore my sleeping pad stuff sack and my pants.. But it was a FULL BODY workout to get through that little area. I took some pictures if you want to check them out...
