Cumberland Falls State Park Moonbow
FYI-Several folks from Nashville are planning a trip the weekend of December 20-22 that will include viewing the "moonbow" at Cumberland Falls. There are only two waterfalls in the world where a moonbow can be seen during a full moon. The plan for the weekend goes as follows:

Friday night-Meet at the KOA Campground at Corbin, KY. They have wooded primitive campsites for $17/two people. We will have supper at 8:00 p.m. Cornish hens, Vegetable Pie, and Cobbler will be provided. Bring something to add to the meal. After we eat we'll drive to Cumberland Falls State Park (approx. 20 miles away) and view the moonbow.

Saturday and Sunday-We will backpack in Daniel Boone National Forest. Mauri Carver and Jim Robinson are planning that portion of the weekend. More info. will be available soon.

Make your own campsite reservations with KOA by calling 1-800-562-8132. The Corbin, KY KOA info. line is 606-528-1534.

Please RSVP to Katibug at Adelicia1@aol.com by December 1 in order that enough food may be purchased for the meal.

Don't know about the white Christmas. Thanks for adding about the other moonbow being in Africa. I forgot to include that. This is going to be an awsome trip! I think we'll have blackberry and cherry cobbler.

That sounds like it will be a fun trip. I may have to think about this one.

Father Goose, do you think Katibug is holding our free gear from this trip. You know we asked them nicely to hold it for us since we were on the last trip with them ;-)

CGHiker-
Yes, you can come for Friday night only. Anyone doing so still needs to let me know so that there will be enough eats.

EWKER-
I don't recall saying anything about collecting gear for anyone that was on the Fiery Gizzard trip. You must have me confused with someone else. There was enough gear for those attending. You can get with Jim or Mauri and find out if they have any extra stuff. :)

I think you must have a weight addiction. I could hardly believe seeing you carrying two packs!
