Revenge at the Catskills - Dec. 7-8

“I tried this route and it sprained my neck. A similiar (if not the same) route crushed Corporal Nasty's knee... But we're going back for sweet, sweet revenge. And we will have it. Oh yes. We will have it.

The route I'd like to do (and attempted before) is over Indian Head, Twin, and Sugarloaf Mountains.

I'd like to kick some Catskill ass - Sugarloaf this past summer started an evil battle between the Cats' and my left knee - then the Slide loop attacked me - and then Overlook tried to get a bite...

but now I have a knee brace and stronger legs and I'm just waiting to get a healthy doose off revenge...grrrrrr”

Malcom and I have been disgraced and dishonored by this little obscure region and are making plans to go back and overthrow the forces which lurk in those windy hills.
My self along with a specialized and carfully selected team are endeavoring to accomplish this..
Artex, I think it would be great to have you along on this mission, as it would be great to have any others with the desire to hike hard, setup camp on a windy ridge, and most importantly....be able to party their asses off harder that they ever have on any trip....

“Spent 3 days on Sugarloaf in -20 degree weather. Was planning to stay on top but stayed in the lean-to instead. First time in my life that I couldn't easily start a fire because EVERYTHING was ice encrusted. Carry fire starter to this day because of that trip. A 4x6 chem heat was very nice by the 3rd day for the sleeping bag.”

It's in the Catskills, which are in NY State. About 2 to 2 1/2 hours north of NYC and about 1/2 hour south of Albany, exits 19-22 off the thruway (I-87).

Okay, back to work for me, no more TT until I get a lull.”
