Since I jumped into this group, one bit of info please. How many pieces of cookware do ya'll pack. I like to heat and eat one meal. Aluminum, Titanium etc.

One Ti pot, used for boil only. If I do have a cook meal, I do t on the last day and eat outta the pot.

Like laqtis, I take one pot and meals that you just add the boiling water to and eat from the container. Thus, I never have to wash a dish. Put the containers in a ziplock bag and cart out.

I know use just one stainless steel pot. I'd like to get titanium at some point though.

Aluminum pot with lid, lexan spoon, lexan cup. I really only boil water and use the pot as my dinner bowl.

humanpackmule nailed it for you. I add a sponge with a rough surface for scrapping. Most of my pasta and rice dishes are cooked in the pot.

Used to carry more stuff. Now when I pack for just me it is a small alumninum pot with a lid (with a handle) that doubles as a plate. I use a lexan fork. Also carry a lightweight insulated plastic mug with lid.

Almost all my food is reconstituted and eaten from food storage bags. Only clean up is my mug and fork. Pack out the empty bags.

If I am sharing gear, then I may take my outback oven and and no-stick frying pan for those really yummy meals.

i have a cool anodized aluminum pot that my fuel can and pocket rocket fit into and there is a half size one that is the lid and fits over the other one and can be used for a bowl. lexan for, plastic cup. i take a teeny bottle of dish soap and a teeny scrubby sponge.

I usually kill a small squirrel, and boil my water in it's skull, discarding the skull afterwards. It's a lightweight option to titanium, and it works!

Seriuosly though, I do the same thing stratdewd does. Works like a charm, and takes up very little space.

As a side note Sass and I redid our closet and realized we have 9 friggin cookpots. What the he!! is that about!

I just recieved my GSI anodized metal pot. 9oz. 1.25 quart with a cup....16.95 at campmor...also the pocket rocket stove and fuel fit perfectly inside it. very compact.

i also have a msr stow-away pot..kinda heavy though.

depends on where I'm going and what's on the menu..then i decide which one to take

I take a pot to boil water and to cook stuff in, if the menu calls for it, plus a frying pan if planning to cook fish. Guess I could just bring the pot. I bring a brown bandana to scrub and/or wipe out the pot(s) and a white one to dry. Just rinse out the brown one in some water. No soap required.

No plates, no cooking in the pot unless it's summer and we're getting silly - wine 'n' stuff. I boil water and pour it over food in my large, rounded insulated cup. I eat it with a lexan spoon (important in winter).

Just my old aluminum pot and lid. It must be close to 30 years old by now. A scrunge pad cleans it up.

BB, if you need another squirrel skull, stop by my place and take as many as you want.

1 Ti pot, 1 Ti mug (a plastic thermal mug in the winter), and 1 Ti spork.

my cookware consists of...
a cast iron skillet, table top coleman burner with green propane tank, stainless steel knife, fork, and spoon, and a ceramic mug...weight=17lbs...but who's counting. my pack is usually 65 lbs, so its all in proportion.

My current cookset is an Evernew 0.9 L Ti pot/lid with a homemade 1.0 oz windscreen/potstand and a 0.2 oz. mini-grapejuice alcohol burner or sometimes Esbit tablets.
A lexan spoon and plastic cup rounds out the set.
