Gear Sites
Campmor is very, very fast to order on-line from. Their staff is stuffy (know-it-all)in person, odd for a warehouse type store. Cabela's is a gorgeous store, good prices & staff leave you alone. Cheaper-than-dirt has good prices, but mostly hunting stuff.

Hey Binkley, Birch may have a raincoat that needs a good home soon. It's a nice one, he just wants to get the one he really wanted when he bought the one he has. (I wish that man would just buy what he wants!)

No kidding, Maple. Thanks a lot to all of you jerks posting these gear sites....

Bbinkley, if they only have a closet for their gear, it can't be too bad a habit. Now, with all these new web sites, maybe I can fill up some of those shelves in my SHED!!

I recommend a weekend with Lizs and a spending spree on new gear to put you back on an even keel.

Martyb, it's a walk-in of sorts, about six and a half feet long and 3 feet deep. We had shelves in there but recently reorganized and have rubbermade tubs, and drawers now. None of our hiking clothes are kept in there though, just gear.

Binkley, I'll tell Birch to email you the pertinent info when he finds out if he's getting the one he wants.

Smiley, yes, that does have something to do with how full our closet is/how many cooksets we have. Some were gifts though, 2 to be exact.

Sass, sounds nice. I guess I have a ways to go to catch up. I have 4 paper boxes of strictly backpacking stuff, plus 3 sleeping bags, 3 pads, and two tents, plus 3 boxes of cross country ski clothing that doubles for some of the backpacking stuff. My 12' x 12' shed has a majority of non-backpacking stuff, but I guess we could change that with a little effort!!

I must organize my hiking stuff in the near future. "On the floor in my study" is an insufficient system for locating my gear.
