“DeoreDX, why don't you just e-mail the individual and ask for their messaging ID? Most people here post an e-mail address in their profile, found by clicking on their name. Otherwise, post a message for them to e-mail you and then ask. The direct route is often the best route.

I'm about ready to nix the messaging service all together. Someone's been messing around with a couple people I know. I'm told these services aren't too secure.”

“Just the ones that actually go across the server where you work, I'd figure. And even those may be problematic. I dunno if IM's are sent in the clear, or are encrypted somehow.”

“Well, I'm not very up on routers, but from having worked on drivers for Ethernet adapters, I know that it's easy to tap the stream of data and save it off. As to whether or not the routers have software to collate that data into IM's from lyra to tarpy, I dunno. skiracer would know for sure, I'd think.”
