“i post here b/c i have hiked with several of these folks and enjoy talking with them about vatious subject including backpacking. The conversations are centered around backpacking and then about other things.

That's what makes this site so great. people hike together, become friends, and then enjoy talking to each other. If there is a trip or a gear question, i will chime in. If I have a question about backpacking I will post one. If you don't want to read the nonbackpacking threads then don't read them.”
