“Yo CMB, good to hear from you. All is well. Haven't been backpacking since the Pacific Creek bridge project in August, but have been getting in a lot of day hikes.

pDog, hi girl! Sierrapalooza is still on the list for next season, though my main goals are to do the Grand Canyon and Yoho. I did talk it over with my son in Simi Valley and to my surprise he seemed interested. Fingers are crossed that we can fit it in.”

“Mikey, I'll let you know what the snow depth is tomorrow. I think we're going to drive out to Parkside Campground, south of Red Lodge, to watch the meteor showers tonight.

Not sure if Aero has been to Cooke City, but he might have a pretty good idea. I'm thinking snowshoes, or x-country skies, would be in order though.”

“Hi guys - nice to hear from y'all. I have had a lot to do around the house lately so I haven't made it into the big outdoors for a while. That could explain why I have been a bit crabby lately.... (moi??) The Sierra has begun to get snow and it is supposed to be a wet year so maybe I will get a little playing in the snow. I really don't like being cold and wet though so I don't generally get out much in the winter. Navi-guesser is concerned that the place he wanted to go will still be under snow in early July so we might have to come up with "plan B". Oh well, there are a couple of trails in that general area.

It's been sunny and in the 70's here the last few days..I feel sooooo bad for Y'all.

I have Sierrapalooza on my list and also want to do the beartooths again. I found a hiking trails book on that region by falcon on the "sale" rack so I could not resist.

Geezr, if you want an extra company on your GC trip, drop me a line. It was on my list last fall and a family event took precedence.

“Hey you, how y'all doing?? The EMT stuff is going great..working part time with the county EMS service and am officially a volunteer firefighter/EMT for the town I live in.

I'm the only female on the force, but it has it's advantages with kids and female patients. Some of the firefighters don't understand what good patient care is or don't care.

Geezr, I'm sure you can relate to that in your hospital work, right?

In the Spring, I'm taking a weeklong course in WEMT, which means I'll be a certified Wilderness EMT and get a good dose of SAR type training. Funny, I feel like I already had the practical aspect of that and now just need the classroom part..lol

Can't wait to hook up with y'all for another hike. Is anyone going to TC2? I heard jerber was going but what about CMB, Gojo, sarabelle or you g-force? Is there another "road trip" in the works perhaps?? ;-)
