Good grief, Artex! You are making her move near you, when you know that you want to move out of this area!

But enough of that, where did you meet her, does she plan to backpack, does she have clean fingernails, you know us den mothers have to check these things out.

Lyndy, too elaborate, we're both planning on moving to New England within the year. It's still very early and premature to give too many details, but...

There are definite big-time fireworks between us, she's hot, and yes she backpacks. To say anything else would only jinx it. Nothing more will be said on the matter! :-)

By the by, that last html does take you to a group pic that includes the comedian Pennsy Hiker as well as the elusive Santartex.

For Christmas Please!
1) A titanium kettle.
2) Gaiters.
3) A goose down vest.
4) Goose down booties.
5) The new water proof, welded seams with no stitching, 800 fill Mountain Hardware zero dgree bag that will weigh only 2 lbs that will be available in about 6 months that the dude from Rock Creek Outfitters told me about over the weekend. I wish it was available now. So does G00SE.

That's not really too much to ask for, now is it?

First: stealing women from NM! Good luck, she'll want to come back. Maybe we'll gain Santartex in the long run.

Second: Skully, does Goose know you want his down for booties?

Geobeet, okay, a pocket full of solar panels then! You can hook them up to your dehydrator and make environmentally friendly jerky.

HO! HO! HO!!!!

Santartex, no javelinas around here, I've only seen them over in Tucson. However, since you will be with your soulmate (a woman), you won't have to dance with pigs.
Pathman

11/22/02

Well, I don't want to jump the gun and call her my soulmate. Keen interest on both ends, yes, but there are a lot of variables and it's still waaaaaay early and we live waaaay apart (for now).

I only brought her up because this is enough to keep me occupied for the time being and while crazygurl seems very cool, I feel I have my hands full as it is. I'm very independent and like being able to do my own thing, therefore even dating someone, even if not seriously, tends to stress me out. It may not make sense, but it's just my nature. I swear I was a mountain hermit in a former life.

Having said that, Pathman, I'll be out in your neck of the woods probably this January. My new "friend" lives near Santa Fe.. any recommendations for hiking around there?
Santartex

NM in January
Bring your snowshoes or skis! Windsor Trail is a good snowshoe spot. I'll have to think about non-snow places up there. There are foothill trails here in ABQ without snow usually, I don't know up there.
Pathman

Snow is okay actually, thanks for the tip! A kick butt snowshoeing trip would be faaaaantastic. I love exploring new areas, and I can't wait!

It took me more than a few intense personal experiences and relationship disasters before I arrived at my sense. Now I feel very stressed and uneasy over the mere thought of dating, much less relationship.

That was my way of saying you are way ahead of the game Santartex. skepticism is healthy. If it works out in spite of that, it must have been meant to be.

Greetings Crazygurl. I don't know how I got mixed up in this but anything is possible with Santartex. ;o) Now I'm wondering if I should edit my wish list to add a crazy girl. I'm kinda nuts myself.

Yo Santartex - you'll know she's your soulmate if she survives a tent night with you after one of your turkey jerky bouts. If she doesn't pass out or run away screaming.... She's a keeper!!

Cancel the titanium cookpot Santartex. I picked one up at REI instead.

I think we are down to a lightweight winter tent at this juncture. Can we possibly swing that, d'yathink? Lightweight, warm and toasty, comfy, a magical tent perhaps, with indoor heating and plumbing, and oh yes, a sauna too, all weighing in under 3 pounds and stuffed into a 6-inch by 24-inch sack. That sauna will feel just great on a cold night.

When that arrives, I can see myself spending a LOT more time camping.
