It's too bad that the tiny ten is so backwards that they don't have a league championship. Iowa/Ohio St. would be a game to watch.

Michigan has got the better of the Buckeyes over the years. Like Jawja finally making the SEC Championship Game, it would be sweet for Ohio St. to beat Michigan. Michigan was one of my favorite teams growing up, but this year I'd like to see the Buckeyes take it to 'em and end up in the National Chumpionship Game.

You needed to have taken in the game with no "rah-rah" spirit for either team. My opinion? It was sad. Two so-so teams playing inept football.

Oh, and did OSU cover the spread? Have they done that a lot all season? Been living up to expectations like that? Or EEEEKing out wins?

I am embarrassed to have OSU going to a big bowl game... National championship? Pshawwwwwwww! They aren't of that caliber.

Yup, they should play Iowa. Let's set THAT up as a bowl game. Co-Big 10 champs. And just see who wins.. Would it be the team who consistently eeeeeeeeeks out wins? Or the one who's been running down opponents since they found their soul after a Penn State win?”

I agree partially. Iowa was, by far, the best team that Michigan faced all year. I believe that they are the best in the Big Ten.

However, every season is going to be filled with close wins and blowouts. Judging a team based on one moment is a bit tough.

Anyway, I don't think there is one great team out there this year. Everyone is pretty much average. Ohio State is just averager than everyone else.

Here's my hope. The bowl picture gets way messed up, with Iowa at #3 or #4. Miami loses. One of the one loss teams faces and beats Ohio State. Iowa wins the Rose Bowl. One of the polls picks Iowa #1. National Championship in the Rose Bowl.

Anyway...

Congratulations, Buddha Bear, your team was better today.

We beat 4 ranked teams, you beat two.

AT one time, 6 teams OSU beat, were ranked in top 25, Iowa - 5

We didn't lose a game this year - Iowa 1, to now unranked and exposed Iowa State.

Yes, Iowa had a good year this year, but I think that Lizs's rants about "luckeyes" and whatnot are a result of Iowa finally riding out of the mediocre pack within the Big Ten. Once you can hang with the Michigans, Ohio States and Penn States, maybe your bark will carry a little more bite.

Until then, have fun on Jan. 1st, beat your Big 12 or Pac-Ten opponant, I'll be rooting for you cause' you're in the Big Ten. Then, you can wait 2 long days, and see an UNDEFEATED team, pummel some hapless overrated Florida team and become, National Champions.
