Kicked back getting my gear together...
And this clip played on VH1 Classic....

Tomorrow will be a good day...

Just yesterday morning they let me know you were gone
Susanne the plans they made put an end to you
I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song
I just can't remember who to send it to

I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again

Won't you look down upon me, Jesus
You've got to help me make a stand
You've just got to see me through another day
My body's aching and my time is at hand
And I won't make it any other way

Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again

Been walking my mind to an easy time my back turned towards the sun
Lord knows when the cold wind blows it'll turn your head around
Well, there's hours of time on the telephone line to talk about things
to come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground

Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you, baby, one more time again, now

Thought I'd see you one more time again
There's just a few things coming my way this time around, now
Thought I'd see you, thought I'd see you fire and rain, now

phaddy, they have a show, uhmm.....music behind bars or something like that. and so far 2 of the featured bands have convicted murderers as the star of the band. they were vicious murders too, very ugly and sloppy. i learned about it on bill oriely ,who has been making a big deal about it. i would be crushed if it was my daughter that he shot, and i saw the guy on national tv ,and getting sex letters from girls all over the country because of this exposure. he should be punished for taking a human life in such a hanous way, not glorified. i just really feel sorry for the families and friends of the victoms. seems wrong. so that's why i wont/don't watch that channel any more.

Storytellers
I just watched Matchbox Twenty on VH1's Storytellers. I must admit to being a classic rock and roll fan, but very much enjoyed these guys. The lyrics were superb and they could actually play. Anyone here listen to this group?

phaed, dang! sounds like one of them big corperations ya'll are always whining about. hmmm, but they are liberal.......quite the delima ...........for you.

so are you saying that you think it's ok to put vicious, cold blooded killers on primetime tv, making them big stars? no problem with that at all? it'd be a good way to get famous. just go on death row and play guitar for VH1!

VH1 Has Given Me More Respect For ome Performers.
Recently I say a Christine Agulera one which changed my mind towards her. Turns out when she was young, all she wanted to do was sing. She'd line up all her dolls on the floor and use her bed as a stage and sing to them. She sung in church, in chorus, and everywhere she could. She just wanted to sing and did everything she could, of course her parents helped her, to do what she liked. And now look at her, she's at the top of a singing career...a little girl's dream come true.

LOL! You were the one whining in this case, ditto-dewd. Also, I'm curious to know what your definition of "liberal" is. You use the word often enough. Define it.

I find it interesting that you would take this particular issue so seriously. There are thousands of other injustices, inequities and hardships brought to us hourly by the media - why is is this one so important to you?

By the way, I just checked Viacom's campaign contributions for the year 2002.

Of the $418,382 it contributed to political campaigns this year, the stats break down as follows:

Democrat 66%
Republican 34%

As with any corporation, I think these guys buy the politician who best suits their causes at the time.

phaeddy ole buddy, i know you like to wear the "independant thinker" badge proudly but you're a liberal, and so is tilt and so is violin. i don't understand why you don' just admit it and go on. you know what it is and so do i. oh, there are a couple things that i side with liberals on, and i'm sure there are a couple things that you side with conservatives on, but always one side or the other will appeal to you more than the other. for example i don't think that any of you will be voting for bush next time. so save the crocdile contrariness for someone clueless.

i see the donation stats back up assertion that BIG COPERATIONS can be liberal, and this one is. might wanna remember that next time your whining about tax loopholes for the rich and coperate wellfare.

i also see that you are skeered to make a moral stance and answer the question. juggling that moderate viewpoint again. i will assume by the lack of an answer that you support violent murder being glorified.

buddur, i have seen that one and thought the same thing. i have seen alot of great shows on there. as you may know, i am a musician and many of my musical hero's have been on there. too bad, oil well. i'll live without it. i'll just play guitar insteead.

stratdewd, I agree with you on this on. I just see something wrong with it.

defintion of a liberal: someone who disagrees with a conservative

I am now going to make up a word:

Gorflam.

I will use this word in the same manner you use the word "liberal".

Strat, you and your gorflam ideas. You are just towing the gorflam party line whenever you speak, all this talk of your independent thinking is just masking the fact that your ideas are the gorflamest of all the gorflam.

Makes no sense without any definition does it?

As for the question you asked, no, I'd rather not have murderers publishing books, playing guitar for an audience, selling their life stories for profit, or any other thing that puts them in the public eye for any reason other than their crime.

There are bigger fish to fry, though. Viacom is one of them. I actually do encourage you to tell others about your boycott, and follow through with it.

Call viacom a liberal corporation if you want to, just don't equate me to them. You're way off base if you do.

Their contributions have gone to politicians who suited their cause, liberal or not unless of course, you want to label the Republicans who took 34% of their contributions as liberal too.

Yes, they can be....

But I believe an in depth look at the Fortune 500 contributions will disclose that ViaCom is the exception,,,,not the rule.
