help us name "THE LAND"

“as some of you may know, we have recently purchased 10(not !)) acres to build a house on. it's a great place, tons of trees and rocks, and we keep going out there to do little odd jobs. but we need a name for it. it's getting old calling it "the land". so we need a name like terra, or the ponderosa ,or whatever. just not too pretencious or stupid(shup tilt).

a little pertainant info...... it's on summer rain road, on round mountain. heavily wooded, gently sloped, square shaped, over looking lake sequoyah on the white river. we have a good view of the boston mountains.

But, I'd suggest heading to the local library and researching the area. There might be a Native American name or historical figure/place that you could use.”

“oh yea, i can't believe i left this out. we see a pair of awesome red foxes alot out there. there are den holes all over the place. i asked the neighborsif they ever see them and they said yes, they are very tame and come real close to you like 10 feet from you.my wife's already schemeing on making a jogging traill around the perimeter(about 2,400 feet).


i like the idea of making it meaningful and pertinant. there is a small ridge across the top side with an old rock wall, which is mostly in tact.
