HOI - Good recomendations here. The bandana handle works very well.

Tested verdict - the boy scout tin really doesn't hold that much food after all and the usefulness does not justify the weight.

What I did find was that the stovestomper stove, windscreen, lighter and fuel bottle (small water bottle) tuck nicely in the grease pot. I wrap them in a bandana and let two corners of the bandana hang over the edges so the grease pot lid stays on snug and tight (eliminating the need for the mesh bag).
