Cool bighorns! I'm starting to think you're as nuts as Snownymph with hiking so much. Just remember the more you hike the shorter you get. Just look at SN. :P

if we go up... it is over 10,400' of gain... Plus some loss... If we go down it is 10,400' of loss.. plus a few thousand feet of gain.

It is a little over 10 miles one way. Which is what we would be doing... I will set up a vehicle shuttle.
