Sierra Designs Bag QuestionView MessagesViewing posts 1 to 6 of 6 messages posted.
“I picked up a very nice used Sierra Designs mummy bag a while back. Its some kind of offset batt fiberfill and weighs a little less than 3 #. Very nice hood. I measured the loft on top side at 3" and the bottom side a little less. No model name or number on the bag. I think it's several years old but in like new condition. Anyone got a clue as to what temp range it would be good for? What model this may be? I'm going to give it to one of my nephews and would like more info on it.” 11:08:01 AM 11/25/02 “No, and you won't get any help for Sierra Designs if you call and ask them. They have no clue about their products. Tarabull has two Sierra Designs "Mystery bags". She tried the company...they don't seem to have any records or old catalogues of their past products.” 11:14:16 AM 11/25/02 “Six inches (loft that is) should take you below +20°F, but not much.” 1:03:12 PM 11/25/02 “Yeah. I had no luck getting the SD customer service people to help out. They pulled out their "archived" catalogs and couldn't seem to find the ones I have. Oh well. I would guess 20-25* for the one you have.” 5:19:32 PM 11/25/02 “prolly a 'wild bill' bag. What color is it?” 7:06:09 PM 11/25/02 “Dark blue out, silver gray inside. I looked at the wild bill on the net and the bag does look a lot like it, but I think it may be as old as 8-9 years and will pre-date the wild bill.” 7:12:46 PM 11/25/02
