“yes i said flaming kitty! my 11 year old woke me last night, bout 10:00. "dad, whats that smell?"
i was out of it like otis the town drunk on thorzene, "check the stove burners" i mumbled. well, the burner had been left on(yes it was me) and the kitty had jumped up onto the stove and i guess layed it's fluffier than normal tail on the burner, and burned her tail really badly. now it didn't get her skin, but since her tail is normally so fluffy, there is a 6 inch flat spot on her tail. you can tell where the coils of the burner were on it. i can just picture my house burning down because the cat ran across the room with her tail aflames and hid behind the curtains. luckily that didn't happen, thanks to my boy needing to go pee.

“im sorry but thats pretty funny. my sister and myself were at a bar and there was a kitchen right next to us and a grill. well it seems the local cat found out that YES grills are HOT.

“A looong time ago, my mom was pouring boiling water into a thermos, she spilled some just as the cat was walking beside the table. The poor thing lost a patch of hair...that's how hot the water was. My mom applied some vaseline on the cat's back....the only time the cat allowed anybody to touch her.

Btw, that cat was not a friendly family cat...she was a mouser...a real working cat. Nobody can touch her...anybody try to pat her gets scratched right away.”
