I'm trying to decide on what kind of thermal underware that I need to get. Which is better polyester or polypropylene?

polypropylene is what I use. They keep me nice and toasty.

I usually never order clothes online. I like seeing them and trying them on first. However I can't find any around here. I found some at Target last year but I looked today and didnt see any. How do the sizes run in women's long underwear? I'm about 5'5" and 110 lbs. There isnt a sizing chart on the campmore site.

Miss Opie - I got some very warm long underwear from Sierra Trading Post the other day at a very good price.
The women's version is EXPEDITION WEIGHT COMFORTREL WICKING UNDERWEAR TOP by
WICKERS.

I looked at the Sierra site but shipping takes forever from there! Normal shipping was 10 days and its very exp to get express shipping. I need the pants by this weekend. Campmor has the polypropylene pants for 9.99 and shipping isnt so expensive.

The REI MTS midweights are also good, probably their version of Capilene. I bought one and love it. Wore it three times already.

Well, that didn't work.
Their new web design will not let me link to the page.
The underwear is part # 12164 if you do a search.

Well you should see Polythene Pam
She's so good-looking but she looks like a man
Well you should see her in drag dressed in her polythene bag
Yes you should see Polythene Pam
Yeah yeah yeah

Get a dose of her in jackboots and kilt
She's killer-diller when she's dressed to the hilt
She's the kind of a girl that makes the 'News of the World'
Yes you could say she was attractively built
Yeah yeah yeah

She came in through the bathroom window.
Protected by her silver spoon.
But now she sucks her thumb and wonder.
By the banks of her own lagoon.

Didn't anybody tell her
Didn't anybody see
Sunday's on the phone to Monday.
Tuesdays on the phone to me.
Oh yeah.

It was too much to resist. I tried, but I just couldn't resist. God knows I tried.

God: Yes, but he didn't try hard!

Miss Opie - If you need thermals right away, go to Wal-Mart. They have Remington poly thermal underwear in the hunting dept. You may have to get a small man's size, but they are very inexpensive.

Thanks SteveStomper, I didnt look in the hunting dept. That might be my key! The ones I got last year at Target I found in the athletic section, and thats where I was looking today.

The Eddie Bauer near me has some awesome sales from time-to-time. If you have one near by it might be worth checking out.

A Good Aerobic Warmth Combination
This weekend under my shell pants and coat, I used only polypropylene lower and just a fleece upper and was very comfy.

Usually while dayhiking I prefer only fleece between me and the shell, as polypro sometimes seems to be tight against the skin. I prefer the loose feel...and fleece feels soooo warm to the touch, too.

I would go with capilene over anything. Also, all you need is mid-weight stuff for where you are. Expedition weight would be too hot.

i got the the campmor stuff...
Its great...skin tight and very comfy, I never hike in it, as I would get too hot, but walkin around camp and hangin by the fire and sleepin in it is great!

Polypro dries faster and seems warmer against my skin than polyester.
