For Pennsy, and anybody else interested
I made my windscreen/pot stand from a large crushed tomato can.

I punched six holes on the side at the bottom with one of those can punches that makes a triangular hole.

With tin snips, I trimmed the can down so it was about four inches high. Then I cut four triangular cuts into the can. I folded over the top of the exposed triangles to cover the sharp edges, and crimped it down.

It is just wide enough to provide a broad support for the pot. The Pepsi can stove fits easily in the bottom with about an inch or so of clearance from the top of the stove to the bottom of the pot.

Functionally it is similar to the aluminum windbreak in the plans for the stove. What I like about it is that it nests inside the cookpot and the stove nests inside it.

Geo
When I read the first line of your post, I thought "Why did he crush the tomato can?" LOL
Have you looked at the Wings Homemade stove archive? That will keep you busy the rest of the winter.

I made a windscreen/pot holder out of a coffee can. I think I might have gotten it off the link Stovestomper posted.

Crimminy Geo - it only took you a few weeks to answer this question. I thought your squirrel ate the post.
