Still, it was cool to actually meet the folks that did go.” 4:48:30 PM 12/03/02 “I'm not sure I remember when TT2001 stopped and TT2002 started.” 4:49:40 PM 12/03/02 “yeah, I know 2001 ended at midnight 12/31, but I can't remember if Phil posting Biz's pic was 2001 or 2002. That caused quite a stir, as did Aero's photo of Newgirl, which may well have been 2001.” 4:53:33 PM 12/03/02 “In no particular order: Marvin Gardens and the tinfoil hat thread Meeting TTers on the Delaware Water Gap trip and sitting around the non-campfire talking, joking, laughing, and sharing. Sarabelle's posts about the skeery woof bare (wish Gojo would come back and bring her with him). I'm not sure about the strangers part TD. Seems like I know people pretty well, and when I meet them they are pretty much the same people. We seem to reveal an awful lot of our personalities online. Oh, and the great wars between the sites, Web War I and Web War II. I enjoy reading Snow Nymphs trip reports and looking at her photos, but I get jealous because her backyard is so much nicer than mine. I enjoy joking with people and feeling free enough with them to do it. I enjoy the jokes and good wishes I get in return. During my convalescence, I enjoyed taking virtual trips via everybody's trip reports. I would rather have been out there myself, but it was fun to read about since I could not be.” 4:53:41 PM 12/03/02 “the thread on logic between pedxing and arclite was the best example of a battle of intellect this year” 4:56:00 PM 12/03/02 5:02:34 PM 12/03/02 “arc and ped's battle of intellect? I just thought they were drunk.” 5:12:05 PM 12/03/02 With 3340 Posts, The Winner Is . . . 5:18:22 PM 12/03/02 5:30:27 PM 12/03/02 “The Michigan trip in October was a Major highlight for me on TT. Met loads of nice fun people and got to hike with several folks I'd met from other trips. The whole trip was a real honor!! Hiking the Southern half of the AT through the Smoky Mountains in September with Sirpete was also a trip to remember. Thanks to everyone on TT for making this such a fun place to hang out!! Look foward to more trips!!!” 5:32:02 PM 12/03/02 “How could I forget Saturday night at the fights. That was a classic NS.” 5:40:50 PM 12/03/02 “First and foremost for me was buckling in and deciding to meet some TT'ers. I first met pedxing and LyndyS at Campmor, and they were both so cool that I decided to start doing some TT hikes. It's been fantastic and the friends that I have made are all top notch. I feel very, very fortunate to have met some outstanding individuals who share my interests and I have a blast hiking with. As for threads, too many to list. Dare I say the Ban Prowler thread was.. interesting. But the one thread that has cracked me up the most was the World's Funniest Joke? thread. Marvin Garden's jokes just had me dying of laughter. I guess I have a true appreciation for the absurd.” 6:05:04 PM 12/03/02 you all suck... “Im certainly NOT happy about finding TT and even less happy about meeting some of you preverts on the trail, and I am certainly NOT looking forward to meeting anymore of you turds at TC2.” 6:19:15 PM 12/03/02 “LMAO @ Stikmon.. fine!!.. :).. see if I share any TD wine with YOU!.. :) :)” 6:32:02 PM 12/03/02 “That Marvin thread sucked. I didn't get any of the jokes.” 6:40:04 PM 12/03/02 “stikmon just needs to stik it some where else!!!” 6:48:19 PM 12/03/02 “Nowslimmer, Saturday Night At The Fights has to be up there.” 6:53:39 PM 12/03/02 “Could it be that a recent TT trail companion told him where someplace else is? That would sure account for his current attitude.” 6:54:10 PM 12/03/02 “ahh gee..Pathman's posts/pics are always awe inspiring. Ü I enjoy every man, woman, & child here. But mostly I just miss rad. 7:07:57 PM 12/03/02 “sniff” 7:08:37 PM 12/03/02 “nowslimmer will you be attending TC2?” 7:09:44 PM 12/03/02 “I must say, my all time favorite had to be any of Buddha Bear's posts alluding to cathing his salami though. Ü smiley girl would agree, I'm sure” 7:10:12 PM 12/03/02 “Prowler - No, I have to work. I just returned from 2.5 months in GSMNP. Trip rpt. soon. Highlight for me this year was meeting great TT people. Love you all.” 7:17:20 PM 12/03/02 “Being able to meet all the cool people that I have got to backpack with. Metting my Girlfriend. Makeing new friends. Posting lots of crazy messages. 8)” 7:17:45 PM 12/03/02 “Metting? Is that a Freudian slip for meeting and petting?” 7:21:52 PM 12/03/02 “Yes it is. Hheheheh!!!!! 8)” 7:23:02 PM 12/03/02 “Has to be the trips I've been on, every last one has been great. I love you guys! For online fun, I still think aero's thread about meeting newgirl was the best. NS, the Sat Night Fight was definitely good stuff too.” 7:53:39 PM 12/03/02 “Like Santartex, I finally got the nerve to meet a bunch of TTers. I'm sure I'll live to regret that someday (LOL) but I'm looking forward to meeting up with them again, and meeting more TTers. The thread I had the biggest blast on was "Braless in Seattle" but that was oh so long ago and far away...in 19something...” 8:08:59 PM 12/03/02 “oh, I became a Venutian Queen AND found my soulmate in 2002, hehe...” 8:10:27 PM 12/03/02 “I nearly forgot to mention Goretex's NASA surplus rocket engine that he uses for a stove. When he fires thing that up, contrails high in the sky suddenly change course. Stalkers cry for their mommy, and tainted water becomes pure. Needles jump on seismographs hundreds of miles away, and when he finally shuts the damn thing down you can hear the moles breathe a sigh of relief. It is a thing to behold. Flame shoots a hundred feet into the air. The sound is deafening. It boils water from snow in 4.5 seconds. It takes him two and a half hours to prime the thing and 4.5 seconds to cook. If it did not have a water cooling system, the stove itself would vaporize. You all have to go hiking with Goretex sometime just to see this amazing engine at work. It uses liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen for fuel. Just don't smoke within 100 feet of that stove.” 8:19:51 PM 12/03/02 “favorite backpacking trip - Jordon River online discussion - short yellow bus, I started it, but it's the only thread I could completely mentally understand. contarvesies - I'll never forget the coyoteravenborn2bacpacpoisinivyreinventmyselfboil-a-bunnygirl threads/emails. general trollism - tie -Violin, for he is most of the funny trolls, and finally meeting Spock's troll, hated the troll, well, the guy was kind of a putz too. But seeing all the people walkindude has met and all the nice things that are said about him, I think he should get the honor. Thanks though! :-)” 8:38:37 PM 12/03/02 “i loved it we were all playing the bongos and then that UFO went flying by and..........oh...uhmmm......nevermind....” 8:41:25 PM 12/03/02 “of course, I'm completely full of #&%!$, so my picks should not be taken seriuously. He tried to light it upside-down.” 8:55:26 PM 12/03/02 “lmoa, remember i dream of genie, when the crashed out in the sticks and these hillbillies caught them and thought they were "martians"? lol! the old lady, goes..."get back, or you'll get corntaminated"....” 8:57:36 PM 12/03/02 “stratdewd to ABQ? I'd better quit while I'm ahead!” 9:11:02 PM 12/03/02 “Wow, there were so many memories in 2002 (with a few more to come yet), it's tough to just pick out a few. What is memorable though is all the cool TT people I met this year. Of the 40 or so I met, there isn't ONE that I did not enjoy hiking with. I've gained about 20 new friends so far this year and we haven't even gotten to TC2 yet. I enjoyed both of the Sipsey trips, Savage Gulf, Fiery Gizzard, and a couple of others with the WalkinDude. I'm looking forward to a great 2003 to meet more of y'all and going to more places I've never been.” 10:16:20 PM 12/03/02 I don;t drink no damnable... “home made wine...stuff will kill you...Im a bonafide wine snob and will only drink the finest wines from the finest vinyards. but to be polite, I'll join ya in a chug or 2.” 10:51:42 PM 12/03/02 “The Stikmon Sucks thread was my favorite.” 11:00:55 PM 12/03/02 “Aero's narration of his clandestine meeting with newgirl was a classic piece of TT prose. Snow Nymph's trip reports TT trip to Dingleberry Lake in late October with a great group of people Montanapaloozafrenzy Lots of great people to add to the photo page.” 1:44:01 AM 12/04/02 This just in... 2:28:46 AM 12/04/02 “Meeting loads of TTers...Favorite trip was roaring Plains. I have fun on so many threads I can't choose one! Favorite controversy: The WTF on the AFT, because it was a joke. The rest of them were bummers. Favorite troll: The Official Scorekeeper. Favorite piece of new gear: MH hiking shorts.” 7:48:14 AM 12/04/02 “"I must say, my all time favorite had to be any of Buddha Bear's posts alluding to cathing his salami though. Ü smiley girl would agree, I'm sure" biz 07:10:12 PM 12/03/02 Huh?? I think my favorite thread was the Short Yellow Bus. Anything by Sarabelle is a very close second. My favorite trip was the Jordan River/Walkindude trip. I have met so many great folks on this site, and have had so much fun! Thanks for everything, guys!” 7:51:11 AM 12/04/02 “Geobeet - I know I haven't seen any posts from gojo or sarabelle lately, but where'd they go?” 8:20:06 AM 12/04/02 “Gojo's posted in the last day or so. But Sarabelle hasn't!” 8:22:02 AM 12/04/02 “i liked it when newgirl said "corned"! and when Artex had a party in his mouth...with smoothies! and remember that once when Violin posted a fake link? that was the breast.” 8:23:00 AM 12/04/02
