My daughter has a friend who is 21 and she would have fit in perfectly in the late 60's and early 70's. She acts and dresses like what was worn back then. She also listens to the same music I grew up with.

Hey Biz - You're absolutely right, about how ridiculous it seems, for the Xers to try and reproduce the 60s / 70s culture, in a completely different era. Has it really "all been done before". Surely there's an original identity out there, for them, somewhere.

What's really amusing is watching the young Asian, East Indian and white kids, driving around up here, pretending that they're urban American black kids.

“Although I too believe "Hippie" is a late-60s>early70s term, the attitude, beliefs and actions of some are very similar still to this day. That shows how much of a fad it wasn't.
