Any more oonga boongas and I just oingo boingo myself off this trip.

btw - as we speak, 'jerky ala pennsy' is in the dehydrator.

But Pennsy, if you chant oonga boonga, jerky jerky jerky over your dehydrator, the batch will come out perfect.

if I do that it will just make it cold and not cook it.

What about Wango Tango?

I've heard of Wango Tango, but can't say that I've ever tried it. However, I don't think the TT'er Tango would appreciate having jerky made out of her, you cannibal!

The menu has just been set and pre-pared. All packaged up and ready to go.
I made some jerky last week and if there is any left....I'll dole it out. Can't guarentee it though, I used 4 lbs. (before hydration) and I have half a small baggie left!

I'm going to try and make a batch of jerky tomorrow. I'm dehydrating red beans, rice and corn right now for one of my suppers.

Our group will put the Blazing Saddles campfire scene to shame.

btw - tomorrow I'm calling to reserve a site for Friday night. If they give me the site# over the phone I'll post it tomorrow night. If not, just follow your nose.

Pennsy, I was going to call them also. If there is a three tent maximum, I'll go ahead and reserve a site also.

And don't you ferget it! And don't shoot Mongo. It will only make him mad.

Artex - they told me there was a 5 person per site limit. She didn't say anything about 3 tents. If I reserve 1 site, and we need another, we can do the honor system and grab one next to us. I'm really only reserving a site to make it easier for everyone to find us. I should be there around 6-6:30.

Cool, we'll of course divy up the money. If it's a four hour drive, we should be getting there probably about 9:30pm.

mongo likes candy.......
yo fritz, once again, thanks for the offer but i'm going to head straight for the trailhead. i usually head up through york, harrisburg and williamsport way when i head to towanda and that is a bit west of you.

you folks camping friday night at the worlds end, get enough room for me. i'll gladly pay you saturday for a campsite friday. i won't be there until after midnight most likely around 1:00 and will just park and climb in the back of the truck. pennsy, was your truck blue or black? that is probably what i will look for.

i'm all packed and ready, 35 lbs. without water. have not had time to even look at my dehydrator so i will be toting only store bought goods. oh well.

We had rain all day and it's still coming down. What was a foot of snow is now 3 inches and many puddles so it's going to be wet hiking the trail this weekend even with the cold weather on the way. The north section of the trail from High Rock to Sones pond has some wet areas. I hiked it last Feb. with Lyndy and it was pretty wet then and we really didn't have wet weather, so it makes sense to bring some good waterproof footwear.

Thanks Rich. I was wondering what it was doing up that way. It's been pouring rain here.

Baume - the answer is C, none of the above. I have a green Dodge Dakota.

There is some kind of winter storm watch now for Friday night into Sat. So getting there Friday night is probably your best bet. It sounds like the storm will be east of Worlds End so maybe you will get snow but not a ton of it. It seems to me like we crossed a lot of small creeks that may not be so small after all this weather. Have fun and be careful.

I've been looking at that forecast for snow too and I don't like what I see. I like the snow, but driving in it is another matter. If we get the amount of snow they are calling for and the roads aren't cleaned up well enough, I may not be able to get there. My van is terrible in the snow. I hope that isn't the case.
