Road Trip “The bride and I just landed from an 1800 mile road trip through SE Arizona..Sajuaro NP, Tombstone, Chiricahua Natl. Monument, Apache National Forest, Petrified Forest-Painted Desert NP, and we had Susan's 50th birthday dinner at the fabulously restored 1930's Harvey hotel, the La Posada Hotel in Winslow, Arizona. We hiked around Sugarloaf Mt. and Massai Point in Chiricahua and got some great pics of the trip. It was by chance we found the La Posada, and we had to come back the next morning to take pics because I forgot the digital the evening of the 20th, but if you ever get to Winslow..RT. 66...I-40, you must stay a night and have an incredible dinner at the La Posada Hotel. Have a nice holiday and please enjoy the pics. http://community.webshots.com/user/mountainmaster2003 And Shawn, LD, thanks for the e-mail.” 9:32:44 AM 12/23/02 “That's a long way from AL, but I love exploring all the areas you mentioned. I went for a week last year. I might get to go again this coming March. Sounds like a great time!” 10:03:09 AM 12/23/02 “Looks like you had a fun time. I saw the pic's of the Blue Range. Come on back in May or June for 5-6 night backpack loop from Hannagan Meadow. Looks like we'll have snow and thus water up there this summer. That is wolf country, Mexican Grays have been released up there.” 11:51:49 AM 12/23/02
