A christmas story
It just doesn't feel like christmas unless your out washing your car in the dark talking with your dad when the town drunk hits a neighbors cow at 40mph on the highway..your brother comes the other direction from town and hits the down cow in the road at 25mph with his 4x4....he stops unhurt and starts trying to flag cars away.

Me and Dad jump in a truck and head over to see "what the F*** was that!!!" We drive up and notice the cow is still alive...Andrew hands me his trucks spotlight and he takes his shotgun to end it all.
After calling the owner of the cow, we try to keep cars from hitting us as we drag it out of the road...another neighbor almost slams into all of us, disregarding flashers and lights flagging him away....my dad lets loose a stream of profanities that made me proud...i didn't know you could compound word some of those like that!!

This neighbor explains he was coming to help...yea that's why dad had to jump out of the road and he stopped with a squeal 6 inches from the cow.

We got our dearly departed into his owners frontend loader, and went to go check out the drunks truck....WOW...the drunk was DRUNK and WOW the truck was crushed...like they say..baby's and drunks survive easier than us...

My bro's truck ran completely over the bovine..but had no ill effects...maybe out of alignment...he slowed for the turn onto our dirtroad..and the town drunk was hollering..he was watching the guys truck and didn't notice the black cow either.

How was your guys x-mas eve?...lmao

Holy Cow!
What an amazing story! Glad your bro is OK, hope the drunk is sleeping it off in a jail cell somewhere.

Mine is much less exciting. Sitting in front of the computer and listening to tunes. Just can't seem to get myself into the holiday spirit. Gifts are still unwrapped and xmas tree is currently unlit.

Sorry to hear about the mishaps!!
We had a "cow" Christmas Eve if you count the tri-tip steak we grilled. It was awesome.

However, we did have one mishap so I can add to this thread. My son's friend's psyco cat attacked one of his king snakes and really chewed it up. Not sure what will happen in the long run.
