Drove home early this morning (wow, the roads! I think the road commission gave their plow staff the day off) after celebrating Christmas Eve w/ two very wonderful TTers. Finished wrapping up some gifts. Then, took Sadie for a Christmas morning hike at a local trail.

4" of snow fell last night and there were no tire tracks in the parking lot. Good sign!! We got started rigth away. It was beautiful. About 7:45 am so it wasn't full light yet. There wasn't another footprint to be seen. It was awesome to lay the first prints in the snow.... walking into an undisturbed, snow covered woods. Just the bunny tracks were evidence of the wildlife around. Snow fell for the entire hike.

It was a peaceful way to start the day.

Enjoy your day.

Peace,

tara

awww it sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas morning! I bet it was beautiful!

We got a very light dusting of snow here this morning. Not even enough to cover the ground, just a little on the roof of the cars. Just to a have a little snow here is nice since we don't get it often.

That is a very nice way to start a great day indeed!

I am going to go for a hike later with my snowshoes over at Hoosier Nature Preserve and do some bird watching.

I have to agree with tarabull, it was a nice gift that Mother Nature gave to us here in Michigan. Beautiful snow, about 3-4 inches in my hood. I hope it's not too much for our friends to the northeast and south of us. I've heard you guys have gotten pounded! Take care!

Hey Q!

7 inches here in Monroe County. More in Ohio. Shoveling was fun.
