Thank you all.....
for the trip reports. I so seldom find one when I drop in to TT, but today, scanning fown the list of thread topics, there must be six at least. I just wanted to say that the time and creative effort that the authors invest, to share their ad-(and misad-)ventures with the rest of us is very much appreciated.

Happy New Year, and may all your trails wind gently downhill to beautiful vistas and cozy campfires.

Happy New Year to you too, Strider! I am enjoying all of the reports too. Tell us where you have been wandering?

cheers!

AmyG,

I am embarrassed to say that I haven't had my pack on since the last week of September, but I plan to remedy that very soon. Covered some miles on dayhikes, but it's not the same thing, as we all know.

For new years eve, it's off to a local watering hole where my son in law Bob Dillon wannabe is performing. Should be fun. Hope you have (or had, if you read this tomorrow) a fun and safe evening.

I feel your pain, Strider. It's been 5 long months since my last confession backpack trip. The dayhikes too have been few and far between.

My resolution for 2003 is to get out more! I am hoping to do at least one backpacking trip each month, with more dayhikes too. So far I've got January and February planned. :o)

A fun and safe evening...
yes, other than the mechanical bull incident, LMAO!! Adventurist made me do it!

Tom Terrific just called on the phone from Williams--he and his family just got back from a week at Clear Creek in Grand Canyon. I bet he has some good tales to tell.

I will go and read the rest of the trip reports now. I should do one of my own--we went to Nankoweap for 8 days--super trip --hiked out on the 19th. Seems we were so busy/tired when we got back I did not feel like writing.

I stayed HOME!!!!!

ok I did go kayaking one day and then went to the park on another day and then took my son to the Zoo.
I got to do alot of things but then I got to do nothing!

I also enrolled into school.
I had a great time.
But just being able to take my son to the zoo and be there for the children after school and being able to cook dinner for my husband was the best part.
i no longer want to kill people.
So yes it was good :)

Did you doo all of this over the past weekend or has this been a work in progress?

I worked in the backyard all weekend and got to see my dog knock a blackbird out of the air and devour it. Wish I had the video recorder going on that one.
