“I was at a bridal shower today and there was a girl there, age 19, whoe was 8 months pregnant and smoking. OMG!? What is she thinking???

Anyway - it occured to me that it had been awhile since we pat ourselves on the back for quitting...

I quit 201 days ago. The first few months were tough. It became obvious to me how big a part of my life smoking was... smoke breaks at work, smoke breaks on the trail, the after dinner smoke, the travellin' in the car smoke, etc. Just about everything I did was somehow connected to smoking. It was a big adjustment to change the way I think and operate. But, 6 months have come and gone and I feel great. I still have occasional cravings (tho, they are much less frequent then they were a couple months ago). I still sometimes enjoy the smell of cigarettes. I've quit numerous times before and this is the first time I can honestly say that I'll never smoke again.

It's been nearly six years for me. I'm so glad I don't smoke anymore. My girls just came back from a visit to their Dad's. I had to wash all of their "clean" clothes because they smelled of smoke.”
