I was a member of the HikeArizona (HAZ) site until it mysteriously closed without warning a few days ago. Now, I'm looking for a new home, and hopefully a few of my old buds from HAZ will gravitate here. Beyond that, I'm based in Arizona, and I'd love to talk about Arizona hiking with anyone interested.

“Hey, LD... a word to the wise... you might want to limit the number of 'founders' on your Yahoo site.

The mention of a 'sudden disappearance' reminded me of a certain Yahoo site where there were about 25 founders and a 'difference of opinion' occurred. SOMEONE with founder's privileges got in a snit and deleted the site.”

“Yeah, I am really puzzled about that. I wonder if we've heard the last of it, or if it will show up as a subscriber site somewhere. It certainly had a wealth of information. On the other hand, if there is some hope of cashing in commercially from the site, someone sure "PO'ed" a lot of potential customers in the way they closed this one.”
