Ebay steal! “There are 2 pair of Stubai Ultralight Universal crampons, very light, and bring lotsa praise. Retail of over $100, I bought mine from ProMountainSports for $99. The Ebay seller is a good'un with lots of positive feedbacks, and I've bought from him before. It's not me, and I certainly don't know him, this ain't no plug for supporting musef, or pullin' off some scam. The seller has 2 pair for $60 each, a mucho bargian, wish't I'd bought'em at this price. There's 2 bids, so the price will likely go some above 60, but it shore beats the crap outa a hunnert!!! And there's a little over 1 day left in the auction. This guy has a very low, reasonable shipping charge to boot! (Some sellers on Ebay really jack up the shipping charge to scam out a few more clams on their sells.) How bout somebody be a sweetpea and link it for binkley and those cupla Smokies hikers. I really look fard' to using mine!” 6:57:41 PM 1/01/03 “eBay Stubai Ultralight 10-point Crampon Auctions: the First the Second (if you just do a search on 'crampons,' you get all these)” 7:18:43 PM 1/01/03 “Gratsy Tilt!” 7:31:23 PM 1/01/03 “'Twarn't nothin' to it, <G>” 7:35:40 PM 1/01/03 Never Needed Crampons Yet, SoIWon'tBeBidding, But “Is 1# per crampon really lightweight?” 8:34:18 PM 1/01/03 Oops! “OK...they say "just over 1# per pair". Another site says 21.4oz per pair, making them around 11oz per crampon...so I guess they're 3/4# per crampon. What about Anti-balling plates, though?” 8:45:01 PM 1/01/03 “Dang T, you tawk Suthun Drawl! Budder, these that our friend Mr Tilt has linked 4 us weight 21.4 oz for both shoes together.” 8:50:50 PM 1/01/03 “Heck Yeah, man! I can talk dat trash! I was Born and Raised in Georgia (we try not to say 'reared' anymore, LOL). That other link I had to Pro Mountain Sports, by some coincedence, also has a couple of recent arrivals that are a little bit lighter like the Kahtoolas (also 10-point, universal binding, 19 oz/pair, $129) and the Camp XLC 390s (step-in binding, 14.5 oz/pair, $102). Camp also makes a 6-point version that just provides traction to the forefoot. This is weird... The Camp site has XLC 390s listed for $348...” 9:41:10 PM 1/01/03 “there aint no friggin snow in georgia!” 10:14:44 PM 1/01/03 “Hey... we got 4 whole inches last January!” 10:22:36 PM 1/01/03 “lmao tilt, we had some last week. i was all tellin crazy mike to bring his snowshoes cuz we got snow and when he got here he's all....WTF! you call this snow!?!?!” 10:27:47 PM 1/01/03 “Those Stubai crampons look good, thanx for the tip naked ape. But at 21oz/pair I'm looking for something lighter. I'm determined to keep my winter pack weight as low as possible. I got my eye on the Camp XLC 390s at 14.5 oz., or even the Camp 6-point at 8 oz. might do the trick. By the way that $348 price has gotta be off, they're listed at $102 in the box and no other crampon OR clampon is even close. If anyone sees them on Ebay real cheap lemme no.” 11:25:38 PM 1/01/03
