My 2 Cents here
First I am behind a Huge FIREWALL, one of the US Governments Best...after the crash I could not connect at all until I deleted the original Bookmark, and established another....Now I'm back up to speed...I can rock at one of the highest connection speeds in the Universe...lol, sure wish I was geek enough to understand why, all I know is the Help Desk folks assure me there are only 2 systems in the Government that are faster than ours....

Matt, your site is fine; I think the problem is on the other end.

I got it, I just can't copy out of that window. Don't feel like re-typing everything that's there. What's the pertinent info?

Start, Programs, MS-DOS Prompt

After typing what Matt wants and getting the reply, hit the square button on top to paint the text, then the button to the right of it to save it. Then copy the saved text onto this site.

My access to TT just speeded up royally Matt.

Thanks for the pings everyone. That helps a little. I think the problem may be a banner ad from one of my ad companies that is causing the problem.

Not on mine, either. Mine requires:
Start > Run

I've tried everything I know, but I can't catch the printout. Redirection, MORE, etc. fail me. Only the keyboard Pause will stop it, but I can't catch the display at the end so that I can make a copy. I have a DOS 6 Book, but my system does not have all of those instructions.

Previously, I have used redirection and have written Batch Programs that work on here.

It's also slow until I login.

I had a helluva time on my iMac at the newspaper yesterday. It logged onto a page where posts were listed from Jan. 2. Clicked on a thread, it would say there were no current posts. Refresh did no good. I think I finally logged out and logged back in to get it to work.

For those interested, I guess when I re-installed everything, my new database build isn't as fast as the old one. So I tried some query optimizations and they seem to help a little. </geek>

Matt,

Every time I post or refresh the page, I get an error message.

It indicates a syntax error on both 94 and 97.

Is this a problem with my computer or the site?

I'd confidently guess it has to do with ads that Matt doesn't control.
