“National Parks have long charged daily or annual visitation fees while the Forests have not. This is apparently a way of extorting money from recreational users to make up for the lack of fees for timber extraction.

I don't think it's being used anywhere in the East yet. I bet it starts up here within the next year or two though.”

“Geobeet - Thanks. I have had a Golden Age Card for years. But the third link that I posted indicates that I still have to pay 50% for the Adventure Pass. Most Park admissions are free with my card.

In the second link, it states, "The COURTS have ruled

So, I'm trying to find out if the charge is still in effect.”
