National Forest Adventure Pass?

I have always used the Parks Pass.

Its $50.

National Parks have long charged daily or annual visitation fees while the Forests have not. This is apparently a way of extorting money from recreational users to make up for the lack of fees for timber extraction.

I don't think it's being used anywhere in the East yet. I bet it starts up here within the next year or two though.

NS, you might want to check into the Golden Age Passport. The $10 lifetime fee entitles you to free access to federal fee areas. Check here Site Link

All I know is it costs a TON to get into Yosemite for a 10 days. $25 maybe? What a rip!

Geobeet - Thanks. I have had a Golden Age Card for years. But the third link that I posted indicates that I still have to pay 50% for the Adventure Pass. Most Park admissions are free with my card.

In the second link, it states, "The COURTS have ruled
Adventure Pass is discretionary (not mandatory}."

So, I'm trying to find out if the charge is still in effect.
