Cool, Artex!
February 22 is the lead ice climbing course I'm organising, but I'll get back to you by email. Panther etc. will be good for you because they're in the southern tier like South Dix etc.

Damn. I don't think I've ever gotten below zero. Maybe with windchill but I didn't know it. Zzzzzzzz...@ 7 pm.

It's currently 45 deg. outside and 50 in my living room. The downstairs furnace puked yesterday, and it just now got repaired.

Ug, treebait. I worry every time I leave home that my furnace will puke. Its one year younger than I am - old by furnace standards! I'm hoping it will hold out until at least next fall or the following spring so I can replace both it and the AC.

I worry that my hot water heater will puke...all over the basement.

I think it is beyond it's intended life...at least beyond it's warranty.

Oh, it's mid 40's here in Cody today, probably about 80 inside with the wood stove going.

My furnace is 5 years old. The fan motor puked.

Okay okay, my undying thanks and appreciation to my adoring husband who replaced the fan and motor today. He could have just just replaced the motor, if he hadn't killed the fan by banging the ----- out of it. His brother helped in the carnage.

Today is going to be the warmest of the week at a balmy 20 degrees....

Single digits here in northern Wisconsin, headed for subzero tonight ... and second day of wind chill warnings to the NW of us toward Lake Superior.

Furnace seems okay, but hitting the point where the bathroom exhaust fan vent is venting the wrong direction when off! A chill draft over the throne, lol.
