To many here trolls need a better hobby (one that don't involve TT), so sometimes newbies are looked at warily as possibly being a troll. “Yeah, a hiking dog is great in theory, but you can't take em most places around here! I have been up and down the Oregon coast and dogs aren't allowed on most backpacking trails. Nor on the PCT nor in the Olympics. I need to move to wherever Buddur lives.”

“the hiking around here is pretty limited if you bring a dog. I have found the Alpine lakes to be a pretty good area to bring one along though. This is part of the reason I do not have one at this time.”

"Looking for snowboard, hiking, biking partners." My suggestion is get out there and participate in these activities. That's where you'll meet people with the same interests.

Here, most of the action is getting up to get another cup of coffee. These trolls are on TT all day. Some strings are just one person using many different names. It's funny when they argue with themselves.

You don't sound like a troll. Move out east and I'll be happy to hike with you in GSMNP. (No dogs are allowed there, they scare the horses.)

Most of the ol' PNW regulars seem to be absent these days. They've either wandered off, or lurk around here from time to time. I'm mostly in the later category.

Biz is correct about Strider being a good resource. He's located in Silverdale, and knows a lot about destinations on the Olympic peninsula. BTW Biz, he was trying to track you down awhile back, as he didn't have your current e-mail address. Shoot him a message if you want to get in touch.

As for me, I'm in the Portland area. There's a few of us around here who do get together for group activities now and again.
